The journal itself is nice, but...FYI—the Avery brand filler paper pictured with this journal & also the Avery dividers do not fit into the journal. Binder clips & holes in paper don’t line up.

I love journals, and this is the nicest one I have ever owned. Even though it's not real leather, it has the look and feel, and is definitely high quality enough to make a great gift. The deep wine-color is beautiful, and I really appreciate being able to add or remove pages anywhere I like. I love the combination lock (no key to lose!), and found the passcode setup very easy. It also includes a really nice pen. The only slight problem I had was that the wrong size refill paper was sent, and it seems like it might possibly be difficult to find the correct refill size. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in different colors.

Just amazing. Comes in a gift-friendly cardboard box (it's very cute). The entire journal is covered in a leather material...it just feels so soft and it is actually bouncy or cushiony... kind of like those expensive leather portfolios. The lock was easy to navigate. Once you slide left, it just pops right off. Inside is super fancy and better than I had anticipated. Many pockets and flap for storing cards or loose papers. Even comes with a fancy looking ballpoint pen. The pages are all lined... I like that it's refillable but my only con would be that the 3 rings don't always let you turn the pages so smoothly...but if you don't mind that...then it should be good for you.

I gave this to my 9-year-old granddaughter at Christmas, for her to write special things in that she wanted to keep for herself. She loved it, but wasn't quite sure what she should write in it. My hope was to encourage her to write down her thoughts and ideas where no one would criticize or influence them, in hopes that it would help her to learn to express herself in writing. She seems intrigued by the idea at the moment, and the very special leather book with a lock on it certainly helps create the intrigue. Time will tell if the interest lasts and grows.

This is a sturdy, nice looking, good sized lockable notebook. The pages are replaceable, which I really like. It has a pen holder which came with a good quality pen inside. The cool part is you can get to the pen without having to unlock the book. The lock has worked perfectly so far. In short, I'm really really happy that I decided to get this. If you want to write but are worried about nosy family members or friends prying into your business, this notebook will serve you well!

I I love this diary, the design of it is timeless and beautiful. The brown color is lighter than pictured - it's more of a dark tan color. The lock functions well for me, no issues. I really like the pen it comes with - it writes smoothly and looks decent. My only complaint is the paper in the journal has the manufacturer's branding all over it. I was hoping they'd be plain white pages, but it's not too big a deal. So glad I purchased this, I love it.

It's a really nice diary, my only complaint would be that the lock is a bit sticky. I couldn't put a new code in at first and therefore I couldn't open it after I closed it, however the company quickly responded how to fix that and I can now use it. I would recommend better instructions and if the lock wasn't still a bit sticky I would have given a five star.

This item was just as pictured. I plan to use this for my personal journal. It's perfect. I dont have to worry about anyone reading it because of the combination lock. Also comes with nice pen and even under the cap, the pen point is covered with a tiny hardened drop of wax or plastic or something that can easily be pinched off, to keep the pen from drying out during shipment.
