SRT Fork Saver Support Brace Full Size Orange SRT00014 Dirt Bike Motorcycle

I bought this to use on a hitch carrier for my 2017 KTM 300 XC. With the AER forks, my current Fork Saver leaves a very large gap between the wheel and the fender. It measured 11' 3/8". I was delighted to see this one was listed as being 12" - its not!. It's the same size as my existing one. Hate dropping a one star as it appears well made and sturdy but the description size is why I bought it and ended up being a waste of time.

seems like a good idea. but it utterly fails. I only used it twice, making sure everything was tight and secure. the first time it fell out when i hit a pot hole to the trails. I figured it was a fluke or I didnt tighten everything enough. so after our ride my friends and I made sure everything was tight. the brace seemed secure, it didnt wiggle or move no matter how hard we tried... but on the way home, after leaving a parking lot where we stopped for some food. the brace once again fell out, allowing the straps to loosen and my bike partially fell off the rack. bending the rack as the straps still held on to the bike, damaging the front fender, and because the bike twisted as it fell the hand guards smashed into my tailgate leaving a large dent, and scratches on my brand new truck... needless to say I am pissed. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. I have been racking my bike for years now and never once had an issue. and I will continue to rack my bike, WITHOUT this stupid product.

The product looks nice, KTM Orange, does exactly what it should, sturdy yada yadaBUT:1 - Should be 2"-3" longer for my 2012 SX-F, I had to compress the fork big time to make it work.2 - I lost it on my first trip (30 minutes drive) , it doesn't have any strap to be secured, if the bike moves around it will definitely loose it's grip and fall off.

Disappointed with the product, doesnt fit my WR250R. It is about a 1/2” too tall, and I have to lift/extend the forks to make this init fit. I dont use a front chock for the front wheel, just strap the bike down to four points on my cargo van- the unit wont stay in place, even when the front is trapped down tight against this unit. Wish I could return for a refund.

I heard the potential of blowing your front shock seals by compressing your shocks during transportation. This is inexpensive insurance. It's easy to use and your bike is just as securing during transportation.

Just Purchased a 2018 KTM 300 XCW and bought the SRT fork saver to bring it home. IT fit and worked fine.

It’s an excellent quality product but was too long for my Yamaha RT 180. I was able to easily cut it down to the right size using a hacksaw. Measure your bike before you buy.Bought a second one for a Husky TE450, perfect fit. So keep in mind this is for full size bikes (makes sense) but if your forks are shorter, it is easy to simply cut it down to size.
