Samurai Sudoku Puzzle Book: 500 Hard Puzzles overlapping into 100 Samurai Style

Earlier reviewed the wrong sudoku book , this is really hard and I hadn’t noticed the “ hard “ on the cover when I ordered it . Too much for me and I like a challenge

When I started doing these puzzles, I found them to be the hardest Sudoku puzzles I ever tried doing (unlike many Samarai Sudoku puzzles books that say hard, but aren't). It took over a day for the first one I did.After doing several you get faster, and you get much better at even ordinary Sudoku.So bottom line: Very hard, but if you persevere, you dramatically improve your Sudoku skills.

Since my husband and I both like to do the Sudoku High Fives in our Sunday newspaper, I got us each one of these books for Christmas. Honestly, these are far more difficult! I feel like they haven't quite left us enough clues to figure them out. I have yet to complete one without peeking at the answer guide at the back of the book, even though I've been acing the ones in the local paper for more than 18 months. The two stars are because the book is printed in a clear and legible fashion, and because they actually included the answer key. But honestly, these are so incredibly difficult that they're not even fun. A disappointment, for sure.

I have done samurai sudokus for years and had no problem with the hard or difficult level ones. However, this book is incredibly hard. I am enjoying a new challenge but it does require a lot of trial and error.

Hard!!! Love it. It took me the whole book until I could complete one unassisted. Addicted, which is a gem during this time of lockdown.

I don't. I've bought at least 25 books and print out puzzles online, spending about 1-6 hours a day doing Saurai Sudoku puzzles (retired on disability, and relieves pain when I have to concentrate on something else).I was so excited to find a book labeled HARD, so I bought this. I would consider myself an "expert" on these puzzles, and this book irritates me because there are not enough clues to solve most--you can get close, and then have to guess. I like using logic only, such as djape's puzzle books and newspaper puzzles. If you don't mind frustration, cheating, or resorting to guessing (sometimes even more than two ways) get this. I'm sorry to the author. Perhaps edit and add a number here or there to a few grids on each puzzle. They'd still be challenging, but not unsolvable. If you need an experienced solver to give opinions on edited version before publication, contact me here. I'd be DELIGHTED to have a tough book of puzzles...definite opening in the marketplace.

Love sudoku, have had the samurai books before, but this one is HARD ,!!Seriously need to focus on this and nothing else - it’s certainly a challenging book, so if you are new to these types of sudoku , dont go for this book !!

I really enjoy doing this type of Sudoku puzzles, but these are definitely the most challenging I have encountered so far. They will keep you occupied, if not amused, for hours and days.
