The included air assist ensures clean cuts in just one or two passes, even on 3~4 mm basswood, yielding impressive results. The bundle also comes with a rotary tool, ideal for engraving cylindrical objects like tumblers, glasses, and bottles. The build quality of the xTool D1 is impressive, adding to its overall appeal.For those with a bit more budget, the D1 Pro is worth considering due to its additional features like limit switches and a flame sensor. However, the xTool D1 itself offers great value, making it a solid investment for anyone starting with laser engraving and cutting.In retrospect, I wish I hadn't switched to the Wecreat Vision. The xTool D1 had everything I needed and performed exceptionally well. It’s a perfect beginner machine that delivers high accuracy and versatility, making it a regretful decision to part with it.Although Lightburn currently offers more features, xTool's own software, Creative Space, is quickly catching up. This ensures that users will have an increasingly powerful and user-friendly option directly from xTool.Overall, the xTool D1 Laser Engraver stands out as a highly capable and user-friendly machine that is perfect for those new to laser engraving and cutting

The set-up wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, but it was still a bit tricky. Once it's assembled though it is pretty easy to start using it. There are also plenty of videos online if you need help though. The attached picture is the first picture we used the machine to make, and it looks really good.

If you are looking for a perfect beginner machine to engrave the surfaces and cut some thin materials, this bundle would be an absolute great choice. Just pair it with air assist and you would get those amazing clean cuts in just one or two passes (I have tried 3~4 mm basswood and it turned out great). This bundle comes with a rotary tool if you want to engrave cylindrical objects (like tumblers, glasses, bottles etc). Impressed with the build quality. If you have few more bucks, just go with D1 pro instead since it has limit switches and flame sensor. But this is a great value machine itself too.

Although I returned my engraver I did unbox it, assemble it and do a few things with it, but it just wasn't what I wanted. I think it is a very well built unit, easy to assemble, but will take some practice to get it all figured out. Personally I think Amy beginner to novice engraver will find this machine to be a good choice.

Ordered this back in April 2023, started using it in June 2023, and now in October 2023 the laser module quit working (it's a 399.00 part). Not real happy at the moment.

Does everything I need. Iv never had a laser. I was able to set it up and figure it out. Everyone suggested Lightburn for the program. So I didnt even use the Xtool program. I do small signs, tumblers. You could do just about anything if you have an idea. 10w does fine for me. Definitely needs a cover and exhaust fan, honey comb base for cutting.

I would not recommend this laser for beginners or advance users... there are too many software issues. connection problems and limit use. I still have to pay for a full use software separate from buying 800 dollar laser? wow.

The machine came packaged really well. Easy to assemble. Xtool creative space a little confusing to someone new to the program. Like me. Slowly figuring it out though. Over all it's an amazing machine.

El producto lo arme conforme a las especificaciones sin ningún problema. Y su funcionamiento ha sido satisfactorio, aun estoy en la etapa de pruebas. Lo utilizaré para la venta de platos de madera personalizados.
