Fast sprouting!
Unfortunately there was no planting instructions just the seeds, it was a good thing I YouTubed how to grow lotus flowers. Let me start by telling you that you need to cut off the pointed ends of the seeds it isn’t easy but it does make them spout within days! This picture above is day 3 since I put in water, you are going to want to change your water out daily, it needs to be in clean water, I plan on putting a couple of these in our fish tank it’s hood for the lotus flower and the fish in the tank. My suggestion to the company is to include instructions on growing. It doesn’t take much to do and you can type it out on the printer and print multiple copies to include with the seeds

Did not bloom.
Purchased these since I just love plants! I followed directions and there was a root but never bloomed. It also made water very dirty and murky, even though I changed the water. Waste of money.

Grew in less than a week
The media could not be loaded. Update: Lotus seedlings planted in mix of topsoil and kitty litter. They are flourishing.I ordered these seeds rather than the more expensive ones because seeds should be somewhat the same...right? Turns out these are even better than the more expensive ones that require you to break them open (scarify.) They come pre drilled with a hole in the top of each one. Trust me, if you've ever tried to scarify hard seeds before, its really hard. I've torn up my fingers/nails trying to grind down hard seeds.I ordered these seeds on a Thursday. Got them on Saturday and each one was already sprouted by Wednesday. I put them in warm water in a clear vase and change the water every day. Its been a pleasant surprise to see how fast they grow. I only set 4 seeds to grow because I really only need 1. I'm hoping that I can grow the rest over the next few years. Apparently lotus seeds are viable for hundreds of years. Perhaps that won't apply to pre drilled seeds, but here's hoping...

updated: Better than I thought.
After I gave up on the seeds, I looked in my tank and most of the seeds did sprout. There where still a few seeds that was floating or did not sprout, but I realized the seller did put in a bunch of extra seeds. I'll do a follow-up and update by review after I pot the plants.

Germination Very Hit and Miss
I ordered one pack of lotus seeds, and nearly all germinated and are growing well. Excited, I ordered a second package, but only about a third germinated.

Sprouted in less than a week
I started by notching 6 seeds. I cut till I could see the white below the outer shell. All 6 sprouted within a week.

Pleasantly surprised
I don’t write reviews a lot. But I am for this product because I am actually quite surprised. I purchased a very expensive lotus root from another company, and it never showed growth. So I figured… why not take a chance on these “cheap” Amazon seeds. It’s way cheaper than what I spent on the root, so there’s not much to lose. The picture I included show the seeds after only 3 or 4 days!! Look at that growth! I only put 8 or 9 seeds into shallow water in the warm summer sun. Within 24 hours (no joke) I saw the first little sprout coming out. Thinking they wouldn’t all grow, I was wrong! One or two of them aren’t showing growth yet, but that’s about right with any seeds you get for any plant type. I would buy again.

Very hard to grow
These need daily water changes (I changed the water on the ones in the photo yesterday). The tannins from the seeds dirty the water and get really slimy. I've had these for several months now, followed the directions, and although they did produce tiny leaves at first, they've pretty much given up on life. Waste of money.
