V600 Specific Chemicals Filtration Air Purifier

I love this thing! Two years ago, my house was painted with low VOC paint. I aired the house out every chance I got. However, It still smelled like paint when I came in the house from the garage or outdoors. In addition, if I was out of town for a week and kept all the windows closed, the house always smelled "stale" when I came home. I ran the V600 for about a week at 60% setting and the paint/stale smell was gone. I now run it on low setting and my house smells "fresh" when I come in from the garage or outside. My neighbor came over the other day and remarked about how nice it smelled in my house.

I was excited to get this air filter and really like the look. Unfortunately it developed a rattling noise after only a couple of weeks of use. Now I am requesting a refund. It is going to cost a lot of money to ship back to the seller, too, because it weighs a ton!UPDATEThe seller RECORDING STORE denied the return based on expiration date. My apartment has had noxious fumes for several years following some renovations. I now have air filters in several rooms: I have an IQAir HeathPro, two Austin Air Healthmate+ Jrs and an Airpura v600. I think the Airpura works better than the others i have. None of the filters have fixed the issue, but the Airpura makes it a bit more tolerable.

All the reviews of this product where accurate. This product removes eye and throat irritation caused by wood burning neighbors across the street from my house.Worth every penny.

Airpura's machines are very noisy. My unit supposedly has a Hepa filter and a carbon filter for chemicals, but it does nothing for my allergies. Maybe it filters chemicals, I wouldn't know. Terrible customer support (unless you speak to the owner). I was told by one rep that my unit did not have a hepa filter and that I needed to order one, which I did. When I got it and went to install it, I discovered that my unit did indeed have the same hepa filter the rep told me to order. Now I have 2 hepa filters (which do nothing for my allergies). After 6 months back and forth I got hold of the owner who told me I can replace all the filters in the unit for proper hepa filtration, but at this point I'm just going to buy another Austin Air healthmate. I use an Austin Air healthmate hepa + carbon filter in a different location and it works wonders and it's quiet.

I wrote to Airpura, asking the following: "Although I've looked at the technical page on your website, I'm not able to find any technical specification or performance test results on your website (other than the ANSI criteria for motors). Can you send me performance data and/or test data of your produces for removal of VOCs and particulates?"Response: "We cannot give you the complete performance data of our machines, but we can tell you that our certification is EN-1822."Conclusion: Worthless.

This air purifier does not work. It barely sucks in any air so I don’t know how it could filter anything. I called their customer service and they said you have to turn it on high for it to be used effectively. This is a joke, the sound is so loud you could not be in a room with it while it’s on high. I demanded my money back and instead they just sent me another one which still doesn’t work even on high. DO NOT BUY
