These are awesome for keeping your French press clean
I do sometimes use this in my French press to make cleaning easier if I don't have water available. The bags are really bigger than they need to be and they take up more room than they need to. The idea is great though and I do use them occasionally. I have not noticed any difference in flavor

No messy cleanup
I like that there is no messy cleanup when using these filters with my French press coffee maker. Just take the filled filter out and dispose of it. I use the coffee grounds in my garden.

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
As soon as these arrived we opened the package and tried them out. FAIL. Tried them in a couple of our French Presses and it was horrible. While it certainly was easier to clean out the grounds, the coffee was horrible. And we are talking really high grade coffee here - not Sanka. The coffee was so weak in color & taste that it looked like tea in the mug. Not worth drinking.Tried again, leaving brew twice as long as we usually do. Even after 10 minutes of brewing the coffee was not anything I’d want to drink.A waste of good coffee and a big waste of money. No instructions on packaging. Of course, making a pot of good coffee in the French Press is not hard, after 40 years of practice.I should get my money back - but after ripping open the package and using several I did not think Amazon would take them back. Now I’m determined to try for a refund instead of throwing them in the trash.

Fine if not in a rush
Takes awhile to steep when using these but if you’re not in a rush go for it.

Must use two bags with smaller amounts of coffee for good flavor
There once was a much better hot brew French Press bag on Amazon but it is no longer available. These bags are more suited to cold brew, but they do work for hot brew in a French Press if you know the trick!Say you are making six cups and want to use six scoops of coffee. DO NOT put all six in one of these bags, as you'll have a tightly packed overstuffed sausage of a bag and the water will not fully penetrate while brewing, leaving a lot of flavor in the grounds and giving you weak flavor. The trick is to divide your coffee grounds between two of these bags so they are a lot looser and the water can really contact the surface area of the grounds and get all the flavor. Then squeeze out all that great flavor by pressing. Yes, this is a pain as it means half-filling and tying closed two bags instead of one, and it seems wasteful, but I found a huge difference in flavor so had to bite the bullet, because using bags is still way better than cleaning the wet grounds out of my French Press.Enjoy!

Great filter bags
Easy to use when I make my French press coffee,I scoop the amount of coffee grounds that I need into the net pouch then clipping it into my French press with a coffee bag clip while still open.then carefully slowly pour your hot water into the pouch, once all your hot water has been poured into your French press carefully tie the net pouch then cover your French press with your French press top.let your coffee sit for 4 minutes than slowly press down on your French press and you have yourself a nice batch of French press coffee. It’s easy to clean up afterwards, just throw away your coffee net bag

Skeptical at first, NOW A MUST HAVE!
At first I didn't like the fact that I would potentially lose flavor because of these filters. BUT, as far as cleaning, this is a must have!I fill the bag with 2-4 more tablespoons more than I normally would, then place in my french press and dip it a few times like a tea bag, then place the french press lid on and lightly shake my french press back and forth until I see more of the coffee spreading around inside my press. Then let it sit for 4 minutes and voila! This actually works! As far as cleaning, just grab the string, and pull out the bag and toss in the trash! As far as flavors, it for me it only took away 10% of my normal flavor with the process I use it. Try it out!

No mess
Got them for our RV. It is so much easier to clean the french press, although it is expensive at over 10 cents/bag. Didn't coffee used to cost 10 cent/cup?
