We acquired another residence and needed a new vacuum. We already owned a Miele Compact Canister so when shopping we decided, "We love the one at home. Why change?" We popped the $$$ for a new machine. YES! WORTH EVERY CENT! Thank you, Miele, for actually improving the best vacuum we've ever know or owned. Our new Miele Compact C1 Turbo, in a classy Obsidian Black, is the Rolls Royce of vacuuming. The Germans really upped their game by adding an electric powered "roller" head to the newly designed, adjustable length, new triangular handle/wand. I HATE BAGLESS VACUUMS. The amount of filth you're exposed to emptying those nasty machines defeats the entire point of vacuuming. Miele's hepa-filter level bags, and easy to swap out air filters, actually clean the air while inhaling everything you never want to see, or touch, again. The whole process is hyper-anti-allergenic. There are SIX vacuum power settings to achieve masterful results in various situations. The very best. BUY IT! You'll be out there thanking me. And if it's anything like our first model, you'll be thanking me for years and years.

Made in China from German parts, says so on the box. Connectors are plastic, not metal like my cheapo Kenmore (which vac repair man said they were not making parts for). Bought this thinking I was taking a step up, clearly I was wrong. Tried it out and was not impressed, like a child's toy. Hope the replacement parts are not too expensive, if I don't return it, I will need them. Looks like they tried to take a good product and make it cheaper.

I waited a long time to buy this as I have 2 other vacuums on other levels and this was a luxury not a necessity. Visited a friends house at the beach and used it. The experience confirmed my desire to own it. Now I have this for my main level and there’s no real carpeting aside from two rugs at front door and back door. I wouldn’t buy this if you had a lot of carpeting. However for bare floors like wood and tile like I have it’s fantastic, light weight, easy to maneuver and really good for detail work! My only complaint is that the cord is too short but I’m not unhappy enough to deduct a star. Also, I’ll point out that it’s pretty quiet compared to my large Kenmore canister vacuum. It’s a solid 5 stars vacuum.

Like power. Dislike red line for bag change comes after 1 cleaning. Looking to return for cat & dog model but 30 day return pasted 2 days ago.
