Seiko Sport Watch SSB401P1, Silver, Nylon Strap

(NOTE: I realized that Amazon groups these reviews to show up for multiple Seiko watches, so I'm specifically talking about the SEIKO Sport Watch SSB401P1, White, Nylon Strap.)Just arrived yesterday (one day ahead of schedule) and I am very happy so far.It looks gorgeous and feels good on my wrist, and my wife even likes it, which is not typical - she usually is pretty apathetic about my watches.As other reviews have pointed out, it does feel just a touch on the small side - I wish it was just like 10-20% larger.And it's a bit more "glossy" than it appears in the photos - it feels a little fancier than I expected and I wonder if it's a touch too fancy for a tshirt and shorts.The box has a price tag for $390, which I suppose was the original retail price, though I only paid about a third of that.

This watch is great. I bought it after hunting it down for a little while. I have a few from this 'Essentials' line and they are honestly all everyday watches that I wear on rotation. I know having battery operated watches is a drawback for some and that seiko makes great automatic watches, I own a few myself. With all that said. This chronograph is great and between this watch and the others I get complimented on them regularly

Great watch with the right pallate of open colors

The small hand for the minutes is a bit off, it stops on 59 instead of 60, which is not a big deal, but once you notice it, it’s unpleasant to know it’s there. Overall happy with the watch, it’s quite nice

Less than a month, and de the seconds dial stop working

Faultless.

For the money, it's hard to beat Seiko and this watch in particular. The attention to detail is quite impressive for the price, with the different facets, layers, applied markers, and textures of the dial working well together. Paired with a very nice NATO strap that compliments the watch's colourway, and it's a really good buy. Sure, it's not a full mechanical movement but Seiko's 'mechaquartz' instead, which keeps the costs down. While this might not suit the purists, it does give the best of both worlds with the reliability and accuracy of a quartz watch, combined with the satisfying pusher clunk and smooth sweep of the chrono seconds hand that's more akin to a mechanical.

Great watch at a great price, an great addition to my collection.Love the striped nato strap and very comfortable.A little smaller than i usually buy but a lovely watch.Usually 5star seiko quality.
