Don’t waste time cooking
This stove works great. I’ve cooked with both propane and butane. It burns so hot it is hard to slow cook anything, but, boiling, steaming, and frying is a piece of cake! I like the simple compactness of using the stove with a butane cartridge and it’s carrying case.

Grill Boss portable burner
This thing rocks! It is light weight portable easy as sin to set up and use. It is so versatile it can be used anywhere and the included carrying case is great. Yes the case is not heavy duty but why would it need to be? I have never cooked with gas before and was highly impressed with the heat output. I have used this burner about 10-12 times already and am still on the first small propane bottle!?! The burner itself is very light weight but seems very sturdy and well built. You can cook most things on the lowest setting but much more heat is available if needed. I will never be without my Grill Boss!!

Simple, basic, functional, affordable
As another reviewer pointed out, the stove came with a slight bend in the case, right out of the box. This isn't too surprising, as it's made of light, thin metal. But the fact is that it also doesn't hurt anything, and I was able to bend it back to the desired shape with my fingers. At first, I was afraid that the propane hose might have been omitted, as some other reviewers have found, but I looked closer and there's a sheet of paper describing the location of the hose: it's in the burner compartment that you might otherwise never open, and which you actually MUST remove it before you light the stove, or you might melt it.So then I fired it up with a can of propane I had on hand. It sealed up and operated and lit on the first click, just as I'd expect. Spark is strong. The most important thing in any campstove for me is the ability to control the heat; not just to turn it up to max for boiling water, but also to turn it down low to control the heat when simmering or sauteing. I no longer tolerate "bad camp food" while camping. So I was pleased to find the knob on this stove gave a nice linear control, and closes the burner down to a nice very minimal simmer. So, for the price, I find this to be a highly functional bargain. Yes, it could be constructed more sturdily, but then it would weigh more, and part of the attraction is the light weight -- you'll be travelling or camping with it after all.

Was able to get a hot flame
So far so good. I needed a portable burner that could get my cooking grease HOT. This burner did it and did it well. It was easy to connect to propane canister, simple to light and easy to adjust the flame.

Nice Stove for Emergency Use
I purchased the stove for emergency use. With a propane tank it hooked up easily, started right up, and produced a nice hot flame. None of my local stores carried the butane cans with the notched ring on the top, so I had to order some online which took three weeks to arrive. I haven't tried the butane fuel yet. The rear of the fuel compartment cover was misaligned a little which I realigned - no big problem.

Excellent for seasoning cookware outside and other stinky cooking
Works great in all the ways it should used it outdoors to season carbon steel and cast iron bringing them to rather smoke point without messing g up the oven and stinking up the house, cook Bacon outside for this reason as well.
