The most important thing about this clock, is that I have had it for several months and I have found that it keeps time accurately. It is perfect for a bedside table or a dressing table or a kitchen/bathroom windowsill. It has a loud alarm (though I still manage to sleep through it).I’m very short sighted. When I’m in bed (and obviously not wearing my glasses) I do have to reach out and pick the clock up when I want to see the time but then I can see it easily.During the daytime, when I am wearing my glasses, I can easily read the time on this clock, from the other side of the room, and I cannot say that about MOST alarm clocks. Also it is wonderful that there is no annoying loud tick-tock to keep me awake at night. I can highly recommend it.

Not a bad little clock at all! I sent for two - this black one and a white one - one for me and one for my 90 year old mum .... neither of us want anything complicated with a load of 'functions' ... we just want to set the time, set the alarm, read the time and hear the alarm! Plus have an easy on/off for said alarm! This clock steps up to the plate on all of these - and is refreshingly analogue! Why not 5 stars then? The little knobs feel a tad flimsy - get the feeling if not taking care, then something may snap off or break. But ... the knobs are easy to use - and the (big) button-thing which you press for the light is right on the top - very easy for 90 year old hands - and even mine, which are not as young as they were!! And ... buying two clocks hardly broke the bank .... so no complaints. Call it 4.8 stars! Recommend to anyone else out there with similar attitude to mine on over-complicated, totally ghastly tech!!

Bought this for my 81 year old Mum, she thinks its easy to use and see, great night light and quiet, would recommend.

Have to keep replacing batteries as light keeps going off

This is a replacement for a Bentima clock which I returned to Amazon as it was impossible to read at night. This Famicozy clock is brilliant, so easy to read and good illumination at night. What is more is that the alarm switch is accessible on the side unlike the Bentima which had a tiny button hidden on the back.

Easy to set and read, no complications. As good as it gets.
