I love recovery bits. I live by them. BUT THIS IS MY 4th box that was shorted by 1 bag. Every box comes with 29 not 30. For the amount of money it should be correct at least 3 out of 4 times

I am an athlete and a kidney patient. I suffer from bi-lateral poly cystic kidney disease. For the past two years my kidneys have been in major decline, I was on dialysis for six months, and finally I received a transplant one month ago. Throughout the entire process I have been taking Energybits' spirulina and chlorella to help stay healthy. My kidney function was down below 8% before I began dialysis, and I was still playing competitive ice hockey. While on dialysis I was an active hockey player and did numerous 10+ mile hikes spanning as much as 8000ft in elevation in a single hike. To be clear, dialysis patients aren't supposed to be able to do all that.Throughout the past two years have consistently lifted weights and cross-trained at my local gym 2-3x per week in order to support an ice hockey habit in multiple regional upper-division leagues as well as multiple regional tournaments (even at 8% function and throughout dialysis I kept up this regimen!). I've seen maybe 20 doctors over the past two years, trying to stay healthy and active and in preparation for dialysis and then transplant surgery, and each has said that I am the single healthiest ESRD patient they have ever treated. Ever. My primary doc is a naturopath who credits algae for keeping my hemoglobin levels up without any hypoxic training, as well giving me the energy to remain active even on dialysis days.I stopped taking algae twice in the past two years, once pre-dialysis and once while on dialysis, as an experiment to see what would happen to my blood work. Low and behold, several components dropped or rose higher in directions that indicated a negative response to stopping algae. The simple fact is that this stuff WORKS, and the past two years of my monthly blood work is proof of that.Concerned about the price? This stuff is immaculately sourced. Made in USA, USDA organic, the spirulina is lead-free, the chlorella cell walls are broken with sound waves, etc. etc. If you don't understand why that stuff is important or why most spirulina is NOT lead-free, do your research. You get what you pay for, guys.
