excellent, durable hose at a great price!
this is very well designed and well made, with a very strong hose and heavy duty brass fittings on each end... it expands quickly and collapses quickly, as well, to about a third it's size (~ 9-10'), once the h2o is off.additionally, it never gets tangled and stowage is just a neat, easily hidden, little pile of hose, once depressurized. (barely discernible, when stowed aside on black mulch (or dark mulch/soil), per image below)further, it has performed flawlessly for it's first (very long) season in Michigan (summer 2017 lasted through October!). ... it still looks brand new and we anticipate this continued durability for seasons to come...the one con, from our perspectiive, is that this hose (and, evidently, the entire industry of expandable hoses) has the location of the shut-off valve on the opposite end than would be expected for optimal functionality… as the point of this hose is to collapse it down for easy stowage, the h2o shut-off valve should be located on the near end, not the far end (aka on female end, not male end)... thus, unless you are always shutting the water system off at the spigot, which is often not convenient and not the practice for most folks, you will not have a small, short hose to stow, which, again, is the purpose. perhaps the rationale for the far end location is for shutting off the h2o just to your apparatus, but that is of no great value and would still require you to also shut off the h2o at the spigot (or other shut-off valve) to decompress and collapse your hose down to it's compact, stowable size. ... by orienting the shut-off valve at the more logical and best utilized near end (female) position, it will enable the purpose of decompression, collapse, and easy stowage of your expandable hose.... ...here are a couple easy solutions, to do so;1) you can add a simple shut-off valve to the near end like this one; SOMMERLAND A1002 Heavy Duty Brass Garden Hose, Shut Off Valve , which still affords you the option of shutting off at the end of the hose at the sprinkler or watering fixture, as well, should you desire that feature.2) utilize the existing shut-off valve on the hose by reversing the hose with one male-male fitting and one female-female fitting, thus switching the hose shut off valve to the near end, so you can release the h2o and decompress it down to it's intended collapsed stowed state (which is a very nice little pile of hose!) … just put the appropriate fitting on each end, flip it around, and, voilà!, you are all set.◻︎ here are some good fittings to reverse it, should you desire to do so; • male-male: Nelson Industrial Brass Pipe and Hose Fitting for Female Hose to Female Hose, Double Male 50573 • female-female: Nelson Industrial Brass Pipe and Hose Fitting with Dual Swivel for Male Hose to Male Hose, Double Female 50574 . OR . Green Thumb 7FHS7FGT Hose to Hose Connector ... the latter female-female being much more robust, but both are solid female-female fittings... we have three of these expandable hoses and have either added a near end shut-off valve OR done the reverse direction conversion to each one with excellent results and the intended depressurization needed to quickly and easily collapse and stow…otherwise, this is a excellent, robust hose and does what it says it will do with good pressure and anticipated durability...we purchased this hose in black, not green, and it lays in a nice little heap on top of black mulch or dark soil, thus, it is barely discernible, as the black hose blends right in, in it’s small, unpressurized state….very nice!lastly, it has demonstrated durability (for, at least, one very hot summer season, that is), as we have used it all summer long on a daily or bi-daily basis (we had a hot, dry summer) and we will use it through this fall.btw, an equally durable and great performer, if you need a 50 ft black expandable, the following is an excellent 50' hose that performed very well for us this summer with daily use, collapses down to a very small pile, and remains to be issue-free; Garden Hose,KLAREN Expandable Lawn Garden Hose with Strongest Triple Core Latex Latest Improved Extra Strength Fabric Protection Lightweight Suitable For Home Car Wash Use(Black) (50FT)overall, a great hose at a great price and we are very pleased, despite the additional materials and labor to reverse the end where the shut-off/on valve is located...Thank you. :-)

So glad I got rid of my old hose
Really love this hose. I've debated buying one for years but hated to buy another hose. I like to use my stuff till it falls apart then replace it. However; I just had it with my old hose. OMG the kinking was so frustrating and it made pulling the hose along impossible. This hose is amazing! I couldn't be happier. I bought some nice quick connects to use for various attachments I use. The hose is lightweight, doesn't kink up and super easy to pull along while your watering or whatever. Seems to be very well made and came in a nice carry bag. I like how once you turn the water off the hose will force the water out as it shrinks back to it's small size.

Didn't last very long
Liked it at first, very long when charged but shrinks a lot and stores neatly. Washed my car twice, third time i went to turn the water on it had a hole in the middle of the hose. It was stored flat and uncharged, don't know if it just degraded outside or what. Will look at other brands that claim to be more durable. A garden hose isn't something you want to disconnect and store inside every time you have something small to water or wash

Great host if you're not tethering it to anything from ...
Great host if you're not tethering it to anything from a distance. It obvious expands/retracts with water on/off. We were using it for a sprinkler setup in our front yard on a timer. Kept trying to pull the sprinkler away, so we staked the sprinkler. Great for space saving and loose usage of hose. Just didn't work what we wanted it for.

waste of $ 40
This hose split open after 1 week, waste of $ 40.00 if you buy it you better not put a nozzle on the end of it, it can not with stand any water pressure, all I can say is cheap.

Short life of a hose
I bought this hose in June of 2017 and last week it internally imploded to the point where no water reached the nozzle as it was all escaping though holes in the hose. It did last longer than the HBLife 75 ft Expandable Garden Hose that I bought (five months for that one!), but I think a garden hose should last longer than 15 months. I did appreciate the lightness of the hose and the fact that it scrunched down to be quite small.

Best suited for small jobs
I like this product. Works well for hand watering flowers. It doesn't seem to have enough pressure to work well with my oscillating sprinkler though. It's better suited for small jobs, washing the car, or hosing down the driveway or sidewalks. I do like the non-tangle design.

OMG this hose
I seriously love this hose. I didn't think I could feel so strongly about an outdoor/gardening product. But if this hose ever fails on me I don't know what I'll do. Probably just buy it again because it's fantastic, but there would be a waiting period between the old and new that would be awful. So far though there is nothing that indicates that a failure would happen. Great product. Highly highly highly recommend
