Works well for me!
My dermatologist recommended this to me over 10 years ago and I have been using ever since. It’s a good moisturizer, helps with facial fine lines and wrinkles and does not aggravate my oily and acne prone sensitive skin. Pricey but purchasing using “subscribe and save “is very helpful.

Ok but leaves behind a heavy, sticky film
This redness relief serum is just that - a serum. Not quite as heavy as petroleum jelly but almost. A little goes a long way but it takes at least 20-30 minutes to absorb enough to be able to apply make up. During that time you will have a sticky/tacky (and shiny) film on your face so plan ahead if you are using this in the morning as directed. My redness flares up during times of stress and while this is soothing enough for my situation, I'm not sure someone with more serious rosacea or eczema will find this to be a miracle product, and at this price point it should be.I have been using the Eucerin Redness Relief products but keep hoping to find something a little more luxurious to use as part of my skin care routine. But between the price and the heavy film this leaves behind, this is not really something I would recommend.

So far, so good.
I am guessing that most Amazon readers of this review are saying that for $85.00 the MEG 21 Serum, 1 ounce should work just as advertised; that is, “combat the appearance of skin redness and irritation while promoting skin health and to intercept and reverse glycation, inflammation and metabolic oxidation caused by the same toxic sugars in skin, which in turn cause skin aging. Additionally this serum should expedite healing and promote healthy cell regeneration and structural support by increasing trans-epidermal water content.” That is a large promise, but that’s what ads do. Does the serum work as advertised? So far so good. It does appear to reduce some redness in the skin without any burning or discomfort when applying the serum, which is absorbed quickly on my face. It is a white and creamy liquid with just a slight citrus smell that goes away immediately on application to the skin. It comes in container that dispenses just the right amount of lotion with one pump.I checked all the other reviews on Amazon and the majority of people think that this lotion is helping them. A few reviewers were not able to detect any noticeable difference in their skin after using the product. I find myself taking a middle ground. I detect some slight improvement in my skin and will continue to use the product until it is gone and then update this review. Those readers with serious skin problems should probably bring the MEG 21 to their dermatologist for evaluation.

So far, noticeable improvement.
I have red blotchy skin which my dermatologist says is not rosacea. However it must be genetic in some way since my cousins all have the same redness problem. I forget about it until I see a photo and then it screams at me.I've used the for a week as directed and I've seen a noticeable lessening of red blotchy areas. I really like the container as it twists to pump and then reverses to close. I found the serum easy to apply and cooling. It has a light scent which I found pleasant. The redness around my cheeks and chin has reduced and is closer to my regular skin tone. My skin looks more uniform. I've had no problems applying makeup over this. I've had no untoward side effects so this seems to work well as a problem solver. Price might be a consideration or limit me to use prior to special occasions or photo opportunities.

So far, so good...
I have light rosacea and I haven't tried anything in the past to reduce it, so this is a grand experiment for me. It's very thick and leaves a bit of a greasy residue on my skin, but since I'm using it only at night so far, that doesn't really matter. The smell is rather strong and seems to be from the various herbs that are in it. I've used plant-based facial products before and they almost always smell a little stronger than chemical-based lotions. I just think of the odor as a reminder that the product is made from living things. The most important thing is whether there are results, and this feels very nice going on. It does seem to calm my skin and I've put it in the refrigerator to make it even more soothing. I haven't yet noticed any big reductions in redness, but I will update this review as results come in.PS - Writing reviews has become an accidental hobby for me, and it always makes my day to know that people find my reviews helpful (and if not, why.) Also, if you have any questions, clarifications, or comments please feel free to leave a comment below. I usually respond pretty quickly and almost always within 24 hours.

I was disappointed by that simply because of the price I'd expected ...
The serum is thicker than anticipated and, as another reviewer stated, applying it causes more redness since spreading it takes a couple more passes over the skin. I have sensitive skin and this product didn't make any of my normal redness fade. I was disappointed by that simply because of the price I'd expected something more. I used it for a couple weeks. It has the faintest orange smell. It dries within a minute but stays tacky for a little bit. Feels slightly heavy on my skin.

I prefer the MEG 21 toner and treatment over this serum, but it's still good (but leaves skin sticky)
This is the third of the MEG 21 products I have tried. At first, I tried the MEG 21 Smooth Radiance Face Treatment and was put off by its fragrance. Then I tried the toner and loved it. Between the toner and the treatment, I started seeing results. Now that I've added this Redness Relief Serum, I am probably experiencing a little too much response in my skin because I am getting pimples, something I haven't had for half a century. So, I've added a salicylic acid gel and/or wash to my regimen and the pimples stopped. But I use this Serum more rarely than the toner and treatment anyway. The serum leaves my face sticky, so I have to use a moisturizer after just to get past the stickiness. On the other hand, it has the active ingredient that makes MEG 21 such a wonder, so I will definitely use up the container even though I won't repurchase.
