One would think so, and yet.. quality in this area remains elusive.Wanting to be more friendly to the planet, I am opting to use my large 55 gallon trash can liners as much as I can. These rubber bands serve to hold the bags in place while they are being dumped by the trash truck.My first batch of bands (different brand) lasted months and months before inevitably succumbing to the scorching SoCal sun. I replaced them with these and was not happy. Within less than half a dozen uses, these bands snapped and stretched. I just bought them and already they need to be replaced. Sheesh! Why is everything in the world getting gradually crappier?

These break too easily. They're definitely sturdier than most rubber bands, but I use these to fidget with and have found that they tear apart within a day or two. Fidgeting isn't their intended use, I understand that, but I expected them to hold up better.
