GordiniMens Gore Gauntlet Mitten

The best mittens that I've owned
Great mitts, my hands were more than warm regardless of the elements. I highly recommend them and used them skiing, snow blowing and snow shoeing. They keep me warm and have been such a better option to gloves. Very waterproof and can pretty much make them airtight for really cold days. The grip is good on them and have lasted well after these various activities. I highly recommend these mitts.

Perfect blend of attributes
So I’m a bit of an oddball, and usually will buy several versions of an item to see which I like best. I purchased these Gordini polyfilled gloves, two other Gordini down gloves, some chopper mitts, and two different down gloves from Sealskinz. Was looking for something that could be stuffed into a pack and wasn’t too bulky, something that could be tight yet was quick to put on/take off, and something to keep my hands warm. These cheaper ones beat out the competition and I returned the others. Sealskinz were the best when on your hand and were very packable but were a pain to put on/take off. The other down Gordini gloves were too large and due to the Goretex shell they weren’t very packable. These were as warm as the rest, can be tightened at the wrist and the cuff, slid on/off easily, and were almost as packable as the Sealskinz. Love it when the least expensive option is the best!

Runs Small
They run smallFirst I got a small as that was how my hand measured but way to small. Switched for a medium and not much bigger, barely fit.I got a pair of these in medium several years ago and they actually ran large, that's why I had to get a new pair as I was throwing trash in the compantor at the dump and one flew off my hand with the trash bag.The sizing clearly has changed.

A great glove and a great value
These are excellent ski mitts, with a nice wide cuff, so they are easy to put on. My wife used these for a recent week of skiing in conditions that ranged from a chilly 15 degrees to a wet 35 degrees. They stayed dry and warm. These Gordini Gore-Tex Gauntlet gloves are really the best value going in a ski glove/mitt.

Warm and durable except for Palm / Thumb Fabric
Nicely constructed and warm glove did not last. The fake leather fabric used on the palm and inside of the thumb delaminated when I used it to reset a ski brake. I tried to repair it with tape, then with an iron on patch, but noting adheres to the rubbery fabric.Other than this poor choice of fabric (delaminates and cannot be fixed), the mitten is well made. Unfortunately, this is a fatal defect that needs correction. If these parts were leather (like the tips) or nylon (like the gauntlet), these would be 5 star gloves.

Just what I was looking for
Usually when I'm in the cold shoveling or snowshoeing my hands get very cold. Sometimes they warm up and sometimes they don't. In the ten or so times I've worn these mittens my hands have never even gotten cold. They are bulky but that's the price you pay for warmth. If I need to take them off momentarily to perform some fine motor operation, I don't mind because I know my hand will warm up again quickly. So far, very satisfied.

Meh
First time out the palm ripped on a rope tow. Wouldn’t recommend for skiing or snowboarding.
