Love the Roku Soundbar!
We had an older Roku box in our upstairs master bedroom. It slowly began to act funky to the point I had to unplug & re-plug the Roku power cord daily. It would take forever to search for channels, and I had had enough. I had a newer Roku Soundbar in my shop that I just love. The problem was that Amazon only had new versions of the Roku sound bar available in Spanish version. They did show an English version available as a refurbished unit. I decided to take a chance, and I ordered it. I needn't worry as it came packaged as if it was an unused version. The unit installed easily. The first this you do is run the update, which I did. I then selected the apps I wanted to have on the Roku. I was not sure how the sound bar would work with our TV as is 15 years or so old. It synced perfectly. I have not had to reboot the Roku box once since installation. It seems to stream quicker than our older unit, and the quality appears to be much better. The picture quality is so much better than the older Roku it replaced, the app selection was quick & easy. I love the sound quality of the speakers over the TV speaker. I had no idea what I was missing. Price was great and I am really happy with this purchase.

This Speaker is a Life-Changing Product
The title sounds like an exaggeration, but it's not. I can't believe my family went so many years without owning one of these, and I plan to buy more of these in the future. We own multiple TCL Roku Smart TV's. My dad is hard-of-hearing. Before we got this speaker, he would raise the volume to 75 or 100 so that he could attempt to hear a TV show or movie. But then, when the commercials come on Hulu or YouTube, they were so loud it blasts your eardrums out. My parents have gotten into so many arguments over this. (My dad refuses to wear a hearing aid.) Even at 100 volume, he STILL could not hear half the time. Two months ago, I saw the Vox YouTube video called "Why We All Need Subtitles Now". (I highly recommend watching it, especially if you need to convince someone why you need this speaker.) Suddenly it all made sense. Movies and TV shows are mixed for sound made for surround-sound speakers, not the crappy speakers we get in our flatscreen TV's. So of course the sound quality is messed up.At first, I tried saving money by buying a $40 sound bar here on Amazon. But it wasn't compatible with the Roku TV's, and the sound quality was questionable if it was even doing anything at all. So I decided to return the cheaper one and just go for it and spend the $85 on this refurbished speaker.Oh...My...Goodness. I am so glad I did. Because from the moment we installed it, there was an immediate difference right away. My brother was laughing, saying, "It's almost TOO good. It's like I'm in a movie theater."My dad watched a TV show on Hulu, and he confirmed that the speaker lowers the sound of commercials as-advertised. He said, "This was 10,000 times better."I was busy with work all day, so I only got to watch one episode of The Mandalorian tonight. Yes, the sound quality is amazing. But something else I noticed was that the sound of the explosions were a lot softer- or rather- more balanced. Before, if we were watching a movie with an explosion, my dad would quickly have to grab the remote to mute it, or turn the volume up and down constantly throughout the course of a movie. Now, it feels like we're finally hearing the sound the way it was meant to be heard. We kept the volume at 25 the entire time, and my dad could actually hear it. Unbelievable. It was almost too good to be true. I had to confirm, "Can you really hear it now?" He said yes- and that before, he could really only hear 50% of the words people were saying, even at 100 volume. Now, he can hear 90%.I feel like that other 10% is understandable. If you watch that Vox video, you'll understand that sometimes, actors just mumble, and there's not a lot you can do about it. We re-watched an especially mumbly scene of Mal from Shadow and Bone Season 2 as our test. And I could actually hear it perfectly fine this time around, where as we needed subtitles to understand him before. My dad said, "I'll never feel bored watching a movie again." (Poor guy. He really needs to get his hearing aids working. I can't imagine living like that.) So if you or a loved one is hard of hearing too, I think this will also change your life. Also, even though this is "refurbished", it seems basically brand new to me. I love it. No complaints whatsoever.I am 100% planning to buy additional Roku speakers so that we can kit out the living room into a proper home theater. To me, this is worth the money. And it's a lot cheaper than a lot of other sound systems out there. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Awesome addition to any tv
Actually life changer. It has all the ease, streaming capability and quality of all Roku products. It also greatly increases the audio quality from just the normal tv. It displays beautiful 4k picture quality on my Samsung tv, not to mention that the os is much faster then the standard Samsung system. I also enjoy the standardized Roku remote that is easily used by everyone.

Upgraded Sound - But No Ethernet Port?
I like these over amzn sticks because the speaker gives more consistent deeper sooud. My amzn TV sound would be loud with music and hard to hear voices at times. The streambar fixes this. I used a mount I had from another streambar but it isn't as low profile as I wished. The main reason for upgrading was the smart function on the tv can't keep up with the app upgrades. I use Plex and it struggled on the amzn insignia tv although it didn't years ago. Apps get upgraded but the hardware stays the same causing slow downs. Was so bad the sound would play for 10sec before the video would work. But the Roku streambar fixes this with faster hardware. So all upside for the upgrade. I put 4 stars bc I'm confused why they wouldn't put Ethernet port on the back. Seriously you want to stream 4k then wifi is not ideal. Most streaming services look at your speeds and will transcode the video based on your speeds. Ideally if you can you run Ethernet from your router to the boxes. As you can see in the photo my Ethernet is dangling. However I think I can add a USB Ethernet dongle to the streambar as the internet says it's plug and play. Hopefully it works and I'll go Ethernet. Downside is more cable to coverup and hide. Overall I'm done with amzn streaming due to several issues in the past. Going back towards Roku (or Nvidia).Update: so it turns out the Roku website has specifically supported adapters for these devices and they link to Amazon. The first adapter didn't work, but the adapter Roku had listed works great.I got the below adapter and it worked:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00007IFED/Here is what Roku says to look for if the above adapter doesn't work:When you are looking for an Ethernet adapter that is compatible with your Roku device, use the following guidelines to narrow your search.Speed: Streaming high-resolution content (like 4K HDR movies with Dolby Atmos) typically requires no more than 25 Mbps. Look for an adapter that only supports 10/100 Mbps speeds. Adapters that also support 1000 Mbps will not work.Chipset: Find an adapter that has an AX8877X or SMSC95XX chipset. This information is typically available with the manufacturer specifications.Interface: An adapter with a standard USB connector is needed for your Roku Streambar or soundbar. An adapter with a micro USB connector is needed for your Roku Express 4K or Express 4K+.
