An Illustrated Guide to Korean: Essential Words and Phrases

If you're struggling like I am trying to learn Korean, this book will not only be informative but bring a little fun into the endeavor. I am currently working with two other language programs and purchased this guide because it appeared to begin with words and phrases instead of sentences (which are too difficult for me to grasp when just starting out). The book is divided into categories so that the reader can concentrate on a particular area of interest. I will be using it, also, as a reference book for years to come. Since one author's native language is English and the other is of Korean decent, there is a greater understanding of the approach to be used in introducing a language. I feel that with this book I've discovered something better, for me, than the two methods I've been using.

This book has all of the basic information you need to learn about Korea. The pictures are entertaining and there's a ton of practical advice. I started teaching myself Korean last week after learning that I'll be moving there in the next few months. This book will give you translations for common phrases and advice on practical situations.

It's just that, OK. Pretty boring for sure. If you're into memorizing "stuff" it might be helpful but I'm pretty good with languages and this is not the way to learn it.

So cute! I love all the little pictures and how the book is laid out. I am definitely a visual and auditory learner so having pictures is a great asset to learning Korean because it keeps me engaged.

I really like the layout and design of the book - it is separated into chapters that cover various topics. It also starts off with some really useful information around Romanization of the Korean alphabet and pronunciations of letters etc. Overall, it looks like a really well structured easy-to-read book for a beginner learning Korean!

Got it for my british husband whos trying to learn Korean, the cute characters and illustrations are making it easy and fun to learn.

We ordered this book about a month ago and it hasn't arrived yet. We are so frustrated by the fact that the book is stuck in the UK and it cannot arrive in Italy. So far, our comment on this seller is not positive at all.

Super livre pour apprendre des phrases utiles. Convient bien aux personnes qui souhaitent approfondir leurs connaissances sur la culture coréenne. Un livre sympa avec des illustrations qui le rende assez ludique.
