Straw Vocal Training and Therapy Tool (925 Sterling Silver)

I have been a singer all of my long life and have never needed to do much in the way of vocal “training.” Until I did. This tool has helped me overcome some of the natural wear and tear that happens with an aging voice-and while yes, the proven science is legit with the use of a simple cocktail straw, this necklace gave me the gift of convenience. Let’s face it, you are going to lose that cocktail straw because it isn’t hanging around your neck. 😂 I used the oovo straw in my car, around the house, and in 5-10 minute increments throughout my day it helped strengthen my voice over the course of a couple of weeks. It’s easy to use, and I’m glad I bought it!

Long review. Trying to be though for you! I purchased sterling straw, no overlay. I purchased to rehabilitate my voice after nodules resolved and I was released from SLP therapy. Product is beautifully packaged, especially if gifting! The quality is very nice, smooth and very well made. I was afraid the optional bead chain would be cheap and cheesy and break easily. It’s holding up very well; and the length is thoughtfully long enough to easily reach your mouth without removing and drapes beautifully when not using it to vocalize. It’s more narrow and offers more resistance than straws I had been using, but if you’re currently using coffee stir sticks, you’ll find this a perfect permanent replacement.I was wearing it openly, until a colleague suggested it looked like it was for an illicit purpose. I now tuck it inside my shirt unless I’m doing the therapy on my voice.A side comment on the additional benefits of sterling silver: I’ve read sterling is antibacterial. If you’re familiar at all with SOVT, you’ll know the straws get wet and drips with moisture from vocalizing. (There is a cleaning brush included in the purchase.) Between cleaning, I’ve never noticed any odors and feel that the sterling keeps it cleaner and germ free.Overall, I think the quality is well worth $100. I originally hesitated to buy it; and procrastinated for months because of the expenses when I could just continue using plastic or silicone reusable straws, but in the end, I’m really glad I bought the Ovoo.

Bought this singing straw so excited it was sterling silver. I hate metal smell I can smell it from a mile yuck! Anyway when I open the box and start checking out the singing straw I could smell metal so brought the straw close to my nose and disgusting metal smell just by holding it a little my hands had the metal smell as well!! Bummer! for $100 not worth it at all. I figured the price was good for it to be sterling silver but it is not. FYI sterling silver is odorless that is why it’s all I get.
