Design that works
I did not buy this exact model, I think, but what I bought looked identical. After trying a couple others, and researching extensively, I was saved by this thing. I paid a little less than the $18 here and I needed it for many months because my plantar fasciitis was extremely bad and I’ve been through it a few times before. This brace is about the only one you can sleep in and walk in which can be critical for many or most people. A critical time in the healing process is when you stand after a long period of resting or sleeping with the foot in the level braced position. This brace is a champion for that - no more reversing (ripping) whatever healing has just taken place. It is super light weight and it is comfortable. It adequately keeps the foot in a good healing position, just barely upright enough. The cushion is quite cheap (yet was effective) but should work on the large majority of legs - it didn’t wear out after many months. The stitching did come apart in several places towards the end so I spent a two or three hours on a difficult sewing job (thick velcro and other material) and topped it with sewing glue. If your foot heals faster than my super slow heal, then it will last long enough for you without repairs. After the difficult repair, mine is now stored and ready to go again the next time I get PF. I remember there being only one size when I bought mine (earlier this year) which I could see being a problem for small legs and very big ones. The brand I got was Alpha Medical.
