Nice photos but some basic errors
I have to agree with the previous review. So far I've only read the Foreword (by Wenger) and the Introduction (presumably by Delaney). The latter contains some staggeringly basic errors. For example, Blackburn Olympic did not win the Cup in 1884 (it was 1883); Leatherhead did not host Leicester City in 1974/5 (the match was switched to Filbert Street); and Walsall did not beat Arsenal in 1935 (it was 1933). I do not understand how an author with Delaney's pedigree did not spot these errors - and there are other less serious ones in the first 30 pages - before publication. His proofreader should have spotted them too, if they have any knowledge of the history of the FA Cup. The book is published under licence from The Football Association but I doubt anyone there would have the knowledge to spot the errors either, if any of the FA employees have even read it. I dread to think how many other errors there are in the other 220 pages I haven't read yet.
