Great for sore, tight muscles.
This is a nice, cozy heat pad. I find it stays warm for quite a while after 60 seconds in the microwave and it’s soft.

Easy to use
Heats easily in the microwave and provides moist heat for any area of the body that does not require a strap to keep it in place.

Just right
With age, more things ache. I needed something that would heat quickly & be portable. This little (9 inches) heating pad fit all my needs. One minute total in the microwave & it was ready to use. Achy hip? No problem. Rest lightly on the hip & it radiates heat. Or align it at the base of your spine & relief for hours. Just wonderful. It works for me. I hope it works for you. Did I mention sore joints in my hands? Ahhhh..

My friend was happy I had this available to him!
I ordered this to use on my arthritic thumbs. I thought the heat would be nice. Before I even got a chance to try it out, a friend was visiting and was having a diverticulitis flare up with abdominal pain. I asked him if he would like to try it on his stomach and he said, “yes”.Within minutes of placing this warm little pack on his stomach, he noticed some relief. He used it frequently over the couple of days of his flare up, each time saying that it helped. The pack itself is a nice size (6” x 11”) with a plush soft finish on one side and a thin cotton material on the other side. I heated it for 40 seconds on one side, shook it around a bit then flipped it over and heated it 20 seconds on the other side (like the directions say) and it was a comfortable warmth that lasted for about 30 minutes. I really like that there is NO odor from this bag. Most of the bags that you heat up in the microwave put off a weird smell - Not this one.I have not used it for the cold feature and probably won’t.The one thing that would make this bag better is if it came with a removable cover so it could be washed. I haven’t been able to find any instructions on cleaning the bag. I have to remove 1 star for the inability to remove and clean the cover.

Perfect size for smaller aches, and two different textures to choose from for personal preference.
The obvious drawback to the different textures is that one side is cooler than the other, so there is a certain degree (no pun intended) of "your mileage may vary) going on if you happen to like one material more than the other. That being said, my own personal preference is that both sides were plenty hot enough with the given instructions, one being a soothing heat with the other just this side of "scorching" the pain away. Pretty sure I like the plush side better, feels a bit more like a cozy blanket. While this is too small for backaches, it's the perfect size for the extremities and nearby joints (ankles and wrists) after a full shift of being on my feet all day and/or whatever I did to twist my hand weird. Sometimes the scorching cotton side even helps with the odd itching sensation that comes from having too many allergies, though it seems there is some debate in the medical community as to WHY this happens and by extension how much benefit is real and how much is a placebo effect. (Me, I don't care if it's placebo as long as it brings relief; my concern is whether I'd be causing myself additional problems in the process.)My only real nitpick is needing to use the microwave. There are obvious limits to keeping things around that need to be plugged in (like storing all of the cords to protect against damage to the wires or being able to wash them while protecting against same), but the main drawbacks to microwavable pads are that sometimes they cool faster than you want them to, and that, depending on the filling, they carry the risk of taking on the smells of their surroundings... which in this case will eventually involve a variety of food unless you're VERY meticulous about keeping that kitchen clean. So need a good way to keep the fabric deodorized in the second case to maintain its usefulness.

Smaller
I have horrible stomach pains sometimes so I always try to have a hot water bottle handy. However, I would have to boil the hot water each time for the bottle so when I saw this microwavable heating pad I had to give it a try. I was initially surprised by the size. I assumed it would have been bigger. Otherwise it did get the job done. It was easy to use. Warmed up pretty quickly in the microwave.

Nice cuddle buddy
Love this pillow doesn’t hold temperature for too long tho especially if you’re in a warmer area but i do think it helps relieve pain.
