Replacement projector / TV lamp LMP-H160 for Sony VPL-AW10 / VPL-AW10S / VPL-AW15 / VPL-AW15S PROJECTORs / TVs

I have a AW15 projector and after installing this lamp, there was a burning plastic smell during operation. I did not feel comfortable with the smell being produced (sometimes with new electronics, the first usage produces a plasic scent). This was more than just a scent. I proceeded to pull the lamp and compare it to my old burned out OEM lamp. The vents (screens) on the lamp were slightly different and offset. After realizing this, I transferred the bulb from my new lamp housing to my old lamp housing. I installed it and everything works great. It's been awhile with many hours of use and no issue. So long as you have the old lamp from your projector, it's very easy to swap out the bulb. All you need is a philips screwdriver and loosen 3 screws.

there are a few people that had issues with this lamp, I had none. I checked to make sure the vents all lined up and they did. so I put it in and fired it up. I did get the burn in smell for about 15 min. after that I haven't smelled anything since. now I will say it took some time to adjust the colors to work with the new bulb. it's a little different than the Sony bulb's lighting. that being said a few min of tweaking the settings and I was good to go. Great value for the bulb.Update: I turned on the lamp tonight and bulb blew up. so the lifetime of this bulb isn't very good. but considering it was this cheap I had my doubts about it to begin with and now I know. if you want a cheap replacement bulb this is for you, however don't expect it to last long.

This bulb worked fine for about a month then burned out. it was a day over the return limit but I did a "chat" with an amazon person and they allowed me to return this item. I purchased from another seller with a different return policy for a few dollars more probably a one time thing but i would recommend another seller for the return policy.

I started having a burning smell within 5 minutes of installation. I also noticed the wattage on the new lamp is not the same as my old lamp AND it is not the wattage listed under product information. This lists 120/165, the lamp says 100/132. This product is not as described and I do not know how my prjector will be effected by incorrect bulb wattage. I am going to return this and I better get the correct bulb back or money back or I will file a claim with better business bureau as well as my credit card company

No dings, cracks or scratches when it arrived. Was packed very well. This is a cheaper lamp, but I needed one for the time being to replace another. Cant believe how some are so expensive! This was a great price.

The resulting image is a huge improvement. If you have not replaced your bulb in a while, you will be astonished at the improvement when you do. Buying here was easy, the install was easy, the result was perfect.

Was wary after my bulb broke in my Bravia projector - had at least 15000 hours on it. Bought this with some trepidation due to the low price, but it fit perfectly and works great (I an a year out at this point). I would estimate that it is brighter by 40% than my end of life original bulb and certainly as good as original in lumensHighly recommended

It lasted about 10 months with Moderate use. Hoped for more. I will order again as it is so cheap that 8 months was not bad and selling the house before it will die again.
