I have a pair of high-end waterproof hiking boots that I use for snowshoeing but they were killing me around the top. Despite thick winter socks and trying multiple lacing techniques, nothing kept my lower shins from getting bruised around the top of the boots. That is, until my sister told me about these Ankle Gel Sleeves. They are a game changer! I've used them now over a dozen times in the backcountry and find them comfortable, they stay in place, and are affordable. Highly Recommend!

I got these in hopes that they would relieve pain and pressure from my hiking boots. I broke my ankle and fibula 2 years ago, and now that the swelling has gone down, the metal plate above my ankle is rubbing on my boot. I hoped these sleeves would offer padding and relieve the pressure, and they sure do! The first time I tried them on, they were sooo comfortable on my sore leg, even without the boots on! What a relief to find something that allows me to hike without pain!

These work great and the gel is a great cushion for my Ankle Holster.. Yep, you can simply slide'em up and there ya go.. So comfortable, especially when you cinch the holster straps as tight as I do.

My daughter got new skates (for free!) but said they hurt her ankles. She tends to be a bit dramatic and doesn't like to have to "get used to" anything, so I had her try these gel pads and they did the trick. She hasn't complained about the skates since. I took off one star because they do roll up when she foots her foot in and it's hard to get it to lay flush without taking the boot off and trying again. Also, we've had them a little over a month and they are getting pretty "sticky." I will try powdering them to see if that helps to extend their life. Overall, she liked them enough that I will buy again when they wear out.

These looked like exactly what I wanted to protect my ankle that now has a fibular plate on it. But the sleeves barely fit my wrist, let alone an ankle that has had ANY trauma. Ankles get angry and swell, so a protective sleeve needs to be bigger than this to actually help at all. If you are a year or more past an ankle injury, these might work for you, but don’t expect them to fit before that.

I use these where the figure skate boot top hits my leg above my ankle. So I cut mine in half and they work great! I’ve also hand washed mine three times now. Product is holding up great! Will buy again.

As soon as I put these on, slid my feet into my skates, and started walking around…oh…my…goodness, I can’t not wear them.
