Works great
My dog is diabetic and this works great for the syringes. We snip off the needle, pull the syringe apart and throw it in the trash. No bulky sharps container to dispose of or deal with. Glad I found it!

Got this to replace the one my vet gave me
I use this for my diabetic dog. I disagree with how many sharps will fit. My vet gave me the same one a little over a year ago. So I used roughly 800-850. No a problem though. It’s easy to use and you can just throw it out when it is filled up. Happy with the purchase.

Noise when you shake is normal, biohazard sticker should be there (not "used") & leftover tip is ok
I recently purchase the double pack of these needle clippers and had some concerns after reading the 1 star reviews. The first thing I noticed was the noise when you shake it, which sounds like there might be clipped needles inside. Since I bought 2, I checked my second clipper and it made the exact same sound when you shake it. I called BD's customer support line and they explained that the noise is NOT other needle tips rolling around, but a bearing inside to help with the open/closing function of the device. So don't panic that you got a used clipper - it's fine.Yes, there's a Biohazard sticker on the back. The company puts these on all clippers to indicate that once used, they will contain a biohazard, so watch out. Again, these are supposed to be there and do not indicate that the item is used. The last issue is that when you clip the tip off, it doesn't take the entire needle tip. Yes, there's a little stub left, but per the service rep this stub isn't enough for anyone to reuse the needle, so it's good to go and what they expect. Here's where you might need to watch what you do after removing the tip. I mentioned throwing the rest of the needle in the trash and was told that you still need to put it in a Sharps container or at least a hard plastic container (like one for laundry soap). I'm still trying to figure this one out because if that's the case, why bother clipping off anything?! I think the problem is that if your trash bag tears and a needle spills out, there might be serious concern about someone being stuck (without realizing the end is cut off). The sight of needles makes people nervous, so I understand putting them in something and taping it up for safety. It's just an extra hassle considering you've removed the dangerous end.

Great concept
I bought two of these because I take several injections regularly and I’m insulin dependent. I thought I read the description correctly but maybe not as I tried to cut a larger needle and it got stuck. Definitely don’t use these on larger needles.

Clips the ends off my syringes like a champ
I'm diabetic and I get one of these clippers every 3 years or so. They're the best for clipping the needles off the syringes. I wouldn't think of disposing of needles without one

Brilliant for keeping needles safe
This is my second needle clipping device the last one lasting over 18 months. If it ever felt difficult to push the needle tips in, I just wiggle the tip in the hole and it frees up. Don't be put off by people saying it fills up quickly, you just need to keep the hole free. A great device although I have noticed the price has gone up considerably.

Needle cliper
The first one we used only worked for 2 days then stopped cutting needles off. The second one is working at the moment. Hopefully will continue
