Not a great fast charge option

I have a travel trailer that runs 12-volt power but only had a single USB plug - in the top bunk bed no less! As USB powered devices are extremely common presently, the need for more USB power had become critical. These adapters each include two 5-volt USB ports and placed strategically around the trailer has taken care of our needs quite well. When wiring in an RV or travel trailer you will need to be sure you do not accidentally connect the 'hot' wire to the wrong side as it will pretty much kill the device instantly. In my travel trailer I have a mix of gray, blue, red, black and white wiring and a quick online search will show you that there is very little consistency in wiring for RVs/Trailers. A multimeter is your friend - if you are reading 12 to 13 volts you have the polarity right, but if there is a minus in front the polarity is reversed. The base is made to sit flush with a small hole behind it for the wires to run, but I was able to run the wires under the unit to the outlet or fixture I was connecting to for power. Since I connected to a nearby light or 12-volt lighter style plug without going behind the wall a small track in the base for the wire to run would have been optimal though it didn't impact functionality or appearance. If you need to add some 12-volt power USB outlets, these do the job well.

The only thing to make these better is a longer wire to connect.

I installed it in my streetlight to power my Wyze cam. To clear the lip on either side of where it is mounted, I printed out a spacer (available on printables.com as "parametric spacer for mounting usb panel").

Just what was needed in our motorhome.

Easy way to add usb charge ports to camper. The sliding doors protect from dirt entering plug port. Led indicates power is available. Fast charge capability.

I really wanted this product to work, but even after I soldered the connections upon 3 days of use (they just came off easily without much movement), they still had issues. One of them keeps tripping my fuse, and I had to attach new wires that were not as small so that the Sauder would stay. Super bummer, I would recommend another brand or company. It's just junk.
