Sugar and rice and everything nice!
The roll of paper arrived three hours prior, a single bright point in what had otherwise happened to be a most dreary day, largely due to the tremendous downpour which threatened to overwhelm our establishment, indeed, our very livelihoods....and the paper was here! A full two days prior to the scheduled delivery! Our shopmates were elated as it meant our plans could move forward. The roll of paper has a lovely heft, speaking of true quality and substance. The paper itself is continuous in tone and texture, for a most pleasing visual as well as tactile experience. The translucency of the paper is not perfectly even, but is adequate for most needs we can anticipate. Rather than being perfectly even, it is mildly mottled, or perhaps slightly heathered one might say. It likewise has no discernible smell, neither akin to the sweetness of orangeblossoms or the acrid stink of the factory. The roll is enveloped by a circular sheaf of labeling, which makes it rather troublesome to access. Find a space in your busy, busy schedule, for at least 3 full minutes to unwrap the roll after removing it from the box, and brace yourself for a moment of frustration followed by the sweet relief of an unfurling roll.Ah.At last... Paper! And so may begin your adventures in the world of parchment! How exciting for you, for us, for all people!Indeed...TL;DR:Nice paper, a good even tooth which is adequate for calligraphy or light ink/painting practice.A good buy at the price.

Good Workhorse Paper
It's the same machine made paper I've been using as practice paper for years, and absorbent enough to show multiple colors with a loaded brush and good enough to back and frame if I happen to "practice" myself into a painting I think I can sell. It's beautiful and inexpensive and while it isn't quite as sensitive as the single shuen papers I use when I feel confident, it does respond well enough on the most part.I also use this paper for all my backing needs, and it is so easy to work with when wet.

Good value.
It's priced well for the volume of material. It's not top quality paper, but as a practice roll, it wouldn't be. It is exactly as billed, and pretty good for the price really. It's a little thicker than other cheap rolls I've used, and ink flows right without too much soaking/warping. It's a pretty decent choice for a student grade paper.

Great paper just a little thick
Great paper at a great price, I used for laminating a logo with epoxy. It dried almost clear but still had a bit of a shadow from the paper being a bit thicker. If you want something thicker for your art this is perfect, but for lamination may want to find something a bit thinner. Overall a great product.

Calligraphy paper
The scroll of calligraphy paper was exactly as advertised. I take courses in Chinese brush painting and use up a full scroll quickly with practice strokes, landscapes, and studies of traditional topics. This particular role is wider than I had anticipated, I think the next time I'll order the 18" wide instead. Even so, I appreciate the continuous roll of paper, it makes it easier for me to just keep on working rather than wrestle fresh pieces of paper into place.

I like it
Good quality paper for the price. I would recommend this product to those who are practicing calligraphy or water color, or those who are just doodling with ink ha. you just keep unrolling and ripping it off as you go. a lot of paper but it does go by fast!

But the roll is super big and I'm happy other than that
I used this to make my own vertical lamps. Gets 4 stars because it doesn't take much to put creases in the paper. But the roll is super big and I'm happy other than that.
