I finally do not have to untgale my American Flag every time I leave my house!
I finally do not have to untangle my flag every time I leave my house! These are well made. Here are some benefits and tips:The recessed (counter sunk) set screws make it impossible for the flag to get caught on one.Don't spread them to far apart making the flag to taught. This causes friction with the ring and sleeve and the flag will not unfurl as easy.Spray a little Alum-I-lube on the ring and sleeve assembly and they work even better.I would say this product keeps my flag unfurled 95% of the time. Its worth the investment to save yourself the annoyance.

Worked for my 1.25 in flag pole. What I've been looking for.
Been looking for something more durable than the plastic rings that came on the pole originally. Even had some spinners 3D printed. They did not last ether. These new rings are made from aluminium and look to be very sturdy. I am confident they will last for much longer than the originals did. Product arrived packaged well and in good condition. Easy to install and with the enclosed Alan key were easy to align and lock into place with no obstructions around the surface of the rotating ring.

Not perfect, but best Flag rings on the market.
Ok, so i purchased this in Feb, 9 2017, and it broke just before July 4th 2017 (i know bummer, lucky i had a spare set). So why 4 stars? Because simply these are the best flag pole rings on the market right now. I've purchased dozens of different plastic rings, and they all fail within a month. So a little background on me, I live in a Valley where we get winds in the afternoon that hit 20-30mph gusts, and typically during the day it's around 0-7mph winds. So every afternoon when the wind whips in, it's a real test of anything not nailed down (usually garbage bins are tipped and all over the place).so i've gone through about a half dozen flag pole material types, and rings, and like most people when i first moved in, i used the standard 3 piece aluminum/plastic flagpole, and it would break, then i tried a couple wooden flag poles, and they broke, i eventually went to home depot and just bought some 1 inch galvanized aluminum pipe and then that solved the pole breaking, but next thing was that the mounts would break. I eventually wound up using a cast iron mounting bracket (that they use for boats), and i haven't had any problems since then. The only weak spot was the rings. I tried using metal cable ties, and zip ties, and various wires, and they always would break. I found these gave them a shot, and worked wonderfully.Using other metal methods worked to keep the flag up, but it would always wrap. So in the morning before leaving work, i'd have to unwrap it, and then when i came home, unwrap it again, very tedious, so once i found these they pretty much eliminated me from having to unravel them daily. They still might get tangled once in awhile, but very rarely.here are some tips, and I've included pics to help:1. make sure your rings are facing the correct position. You want the part with the screw to be farthest away from the top or bottom of the flag. You also want to make sure they are ever so slightly pulling them diagonally so if the flag swings, it won't get caught on the screw nub.2. use some thread locke on the screws and use a wrench to give a "slight" tightening to the screw... don't break it, but just enough to make sure it's tight.3. use a very small sized cable tie to make sure the flag doesn't creep up into the top part of the carabiner, or that the carabiner doesn't turn around.4. use some kind of grease or wd-40 on the ring to help with the friction of metal on metal.5. if possible, drill through the flag pole so that the screws can actually screw into the pole as well.6. If you're having problems with it unscrewing, you can locktite the threads, and put a zip tie under it, to prevent it from loosening it up.7. keep a spare set handy.Amazingly some of my earlier flags would break at the grommet point, but i've been buying American Flag 3x5 ft. Nylon SolarGuard Nyl-Glo by Annin Flagmakers, 100% Made in USA with Sewn Stripes, Embroidered Stars and Brass Grommets. Model 2460 and this flag is a champion, no rips no tears yet, been out day and night, and still looks great. I usually go through 1 flag a year, and always give them to a Vet neighbor who takes it to his VFW Hall.I've also attached a pic of the ring and showed were the constant rubbing of metal on metal cause it to fail. I'll try to make sure to add some grease to this monthly to see if that helps prolong it's lifespan.

Changed my rating and fixed the furling issue
I originally bought a Flag with plastic rotating rings that worked pretty good for 3 or 4 months. The flag would only tangle about 2 or 3 times a month which is a frequency I could live with. Recently, both of the plastic rings cracked so I ordered these aluminum replacements. I hooked up the flag with the new rings and within minutes the flag was a tangled mess. I adjusted the space between rings and the direction they were pointing but flag continued to furl almost immediately after I untangled it each time. Nothing worked so with a fair amount of frustration I began the return process and ordered a different set of rings. While I was waiting for new rings to arrive I kept these rings on the flagpole just so could hang the flag in the interim. Based on user comments I decided to try one last thing. I applied generous amounts of WD40 to these aluminum rings and sure enough the flag straightened out. I was still skeptical but after a few days not once did it tangle. I canceled the return and it has now been about a month and not once has the flag furled. I will monitor moving forward but these rings work well but clearly lubrication is a must even right of the box.

Well machined product
Nicely rounded machined at all edges and a recessed set screw so the flag has no sharp edges to beat on. My flag should last longer where I fly it 24/7 in my windy area. I put some thread locker on the set screws. Some people have complained that these swivels don't work good enough. I think their problem is that they spread the swivels too far apart and have the flag clips pulling too tight on them. I put the swivels on the pole, hook them to the flag, spread them out to the point that the flag is stretched straight, tighten the top swivel, move the bottom swivel in towards the flag about 2 inches and tighten it there. A little slack between them works great for me. I also put a little spray of lithium grease on them. Good job guys, Thanks.

Works great, but require maintenance
The media could not be loaded. I bought a Costco flag w/ pole and rotating collars, but the flag still furled with wind. I bought these and followed the directions that other people have stated in their reviews here. These rings have kept my flag furl-free despite lots of wind making the flag flip over the pole incessantly. They are machined well and have recessed screws that don't catch the flag fabric.

per product and service
Is your house flag sagging, shredding, just not spiffy? These flagpole rings are what you need. They will keep your flag from wrapping around the pole. Very simple to install. Very high quality product which should last years. Flagpole tip: determine the inner diameter of your flagpole and insert a wooden dowel just 1/8" less than the flagpole. No more crunching of the pole in the storm. If the mounting to the house is secure, the dowel will strengthen the pole making it nearly invincible to the wind!
