Elegant design, exceptional quality
The obvious elephants in the room: the handles, the knife, and the spoons. All three elements I just named are what really sets these apart from other flatware. I will go over each of them. The handles: VERY elegant looking, but are they comfortable? Yes, but not exceptionally. I don't have any trouble holding these, but I do wish the handles were thicker, and maybe with a slight bend. Also, they transfer heat rather easily...putting a spoon in a large glass (I have 16 ounce mugs) of hot tea makes the handle heat up. Give it about five minutes, and it's hot! Hot enough to be uncomfortable, though not actually dangerous. The design doesn't allow the heat to dissipate as fast as a flatter handle would. I wouldn't make the handles flatter if I was redesigning these, though...the handles just look too cool. I wish they were a bit thicker, but that would also make the utensils heavier, so they aren't bad even if they aren't super-comfortable. The handles are as stylish as you could ask for, and the grip is "decent but not great."The knives: like the handles, very elegant looking, very cool design. But how do they work? Excellent, in fact. I really like the blade design...I've used them for spreading butter and for cutting a steak. They work well for both. The aforementioned "decent but not great" grip on the handles does keep them from being the best knives possible, but the blade design works really well...well enough that these can in fact be used as steak knives. I really like the knife blades. The spoons: extremely modern in appearance, circular rather than oval or oblong, and fairly deep. Once again, they look cool, but how functional are they? Well, I've used them for soups, sauces, shoveling beans...and I think it's an excellent design. It actually makes me wonder about why we don't see more circular spoons. I suppose oblong designs increase the amount of food a spoon can hold without requiring your mouth to be wider? Well, these spoons really accomplish that with their depth. I find them quite comfortable, and since you aren't trying to cut anything, the handle's "not great" status is not at all a problem with the spoons.Other stuff: the metal and coating are very high quality. I eat gallons (not an exaggeration) of extremely hot hot sauce...one of the reasons I replaced my other silverware is because the hot sauce I make is so hot that it was corroding my silverware. The set of these that I purchased was the gold plated version...gold is one of the least reactive elements, and I figured that as long as the plating wasn't thin or poorly applied, the gold would protect the metal from the acid in my hot sauce. I was correct...I have seen no damage whatsoever to these utensils after using them for this purpose many times (I've been using the same set over and over again to be sure). Also, I despise washing dishes, so I've been putting them in my dishwasher. Again, no sign of damage.recap/parting thoughts:- These are by far the highest quality flatware sets that I've ever owned. I started with a single box...to make sure I liked them, and after using them for a few days, I ordered six more boxes (14 sets).- They are elegant to the point that everyone that sees them has to comment on their appearance (positively).- They do not react to even the spiciest sauce and hold up well in the dishwasher (Note: 10/18 steel and high-quality, heavy gold plating)- The only downsides are with regards to the handles: the grip is decent, but not great, and they heat up to the point of being uncomfortable if you put them in 16 ounces of very hot liquid (like tea or coffee; won't be a problem with soup unless you serve crazy-hot soup, probably not a problem if you are using 8 ounce mugs).- I would highly recommend this production on the basis of their quality and the elegant design.

Beautiful Set
I ordered the gold set and let me tell you, IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. It will be perfect for the upcoming holidays as a gift or used as a table setting. They have a nice weight to them, not too heavy and not so light where it feels cheap. They are more on the "fancy" side, so I personally won't give it to my kid to use for his morning cereal, but fun for a dinner party! My favorite are the spoons, such a fun shape! Get a few sets of these and you will not be disappointed!

Pretty good!
Somewhat odd to hold because the silverwear is so large.

Beautiful and made to last
My new favourite silverware. Everyone agrees that they are brilliant. I have had them for a while now (a few months), washed many times in the dish washer, used many times as one would use any utensils and there has been no wear or other issues. They still look fantastic.
