Nautica 7 Foot Beach Umbrella (Rainbow Stripe)

I used this on a very windy day at the beach (19 mph) and it held up really well with an anchor, so I imagine it would be great on a normal day at the beach. It's easy to carry and it looks great. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.Updated June 2016: I still love this umbrella. Took it to the beach under normal conditions without an achor, and it was great. There was another review about the hole and pin. That's to help turn the pole when screwing it into the sand, not to secure the top. And you can use it to hang stuff like a towel or plastic bag. Still very satisfied and think it'll last a long time.

It works for occasional, fair weather beach trips. The umbrella will invert or get blown away with any gusts. It was embarrassing at my weight to chase down an umbrella at the beach. At least I learned I'm still pretty quick. If you can't afford anything else, and don't use it on windy days, go ahead and get it. It is better than skin cancer.*I'm now working on weight loss so beached whale rescuers don't get confused when I'm lounging ocean-side.

These Nautica beach umbrellas are about the best around. They have the sand screw at the bottom already there so you can screw it down, but the best part about this high quality umbrella is the ribs. they are made out of fiberglass, just like those used in tents. They will not bend up or break like those cheaper umbrellas. We now have 2 of these and will get a 3rd one. They last a long time as well instead of only one season or half a season sometimes. I highly recommend Nautica brand umbrellas.

I think this is a great umbrella. The quality seems to be great as well as construction. Held up all day on the beach with typical beach wind. Had no concern at all of it breaking or flying away.

I screwed the base into the sand leaning towards the wind and it withstood 20 mph wind.

We bought this same umbrella several years ago and were very happy with it. Eventually the sun faded the colors, which is the only reason we replaced it.

Sturdy, with twist in body. Replaced a Rio Brand that had plastic braces. This one has survived decent wind so far. Hope it holds up.
