Easy Every Day Organization
Just like the title states, the author has broken down organization into one task each day of the year. Sometimes the tasks are things like thinking positive which I wasn't expecting but do agree sometimes those moments are needed to continue to be productive during the week. I like to break things down because I can feel productive but not overwhelmed. Many of the tasks are things that a person may put off cause its not horribly pressing but can possibly have a negative effect when not done like backing up the computer. It is an easy read and also each month has a theme. My biggest problem has been procrastination and breaking things down helps to motivate me into action. I think even if someone is pretty organized it doesn't hurt to read something like this because even that person may find there is something they should be incorporating more often into their routine. Organization that is often paired with time. Being organized saves time but trying to get organized from chaos takes time. The time factor can motivate and also deflate a person's drive. I think getting organized is worth the time and definitely one task a day is a good way to reach that goal.

Helpful if you like a checklist of things to do
I'm like everyone else, busy to the max, with little extra energy to accomplish huge projects all at once. So, hats off to you Marie Kondo fans, but I don't have 6 months of time to dedicate to big time purging. My goal this year is to organize my spaces, so that they work better for me. This book gives you one (mostly) simple thing to do every day. I can write that in my planner and accomplish that, at least to be moving forward on my goal. If something is too "big" for the time, or day, I just trade it out for another, so putting away Christmas things took place on a couple of days off and rethinking/looking at closet spaces for vertical unused space, took place on a Tuesday night after work. Small steps allow me to keep going and I don't burn out and end up with a bigger mess. This book is great for those of you like me, who long to be organized, but need baby steps because of limited time.

“Organization is about efficiency, reducing stress and clutter, saving time and money and improving your overall quality of life
New York author/Reiki Master and Teacher/retired Professional Organizer Christina Scalise has got to have one of the finest tuned senses of humor around! Her books focus on the essentials of living - as an Organizer (`Organize Your Finances, Your Kids, Your Life!' and `Organize Your Life and More' in addition to ‘Are We Normal – family stories’ and ‘365 Days of Angel Prayers’) in a way that things are placed in order, in the proper perspective, and leaving time to actually enjoy living. Quite a chore in today's chaotic world. She manages to put this onerous chore of becoming organized into perspective and believe it or not, after reading this book it is almost a guarantee that your life will fall into place more comfortably. She sets the tone of her plethora of ideas and tips with the following intro: ‘Daily Do Its are daily challenges that help you get organized throughout the year in a way that will also help maintain organization for years to come. How it works: Do each daily task, every month as shown - OR - every month, choose one or more tasks to accomplish each day. You may notice a few Daily Do Its have been repeated more than once throughout the year. The reason for this is simple... those particular tasks should become a habitual part of your organizing routine. For the ones that do not apply to you... use those days to choose a different Daily Do It that does apply to you - OR - do one or more things on your personal To Do list - OR - simply take an extra day off for yourself and enjoy what you’ve already organized. Before you start: Add a few minutes (or more) to your daily schedule so you will have enough time to accomplish each task. The most common excuse for NOT getting organized is... “I don’t have time!” But, the fact remains, the more organized you are, the more time you will save.’Following the title of her book – 365 – Christine divides her book into months – from January to December – and in each month she accompanies on a daily task and makes it make sense and feasible. For example in January she opens our journey on Day 1 with ‘Place a “Discard Basket” or “Toss Bucket” in a common area of your home (such as a hallway or laundry room) for all family members to contribute unwanted items to daily’. Or on another day the DO IT is ‘Repair, replace or toss one broken item in your home today.’ And that is the manner in which this book is utilized – a task a day to ultimately breathe more easily, feel secure, save money, and enjoy living. And again, the true miracle of Christine’s books is that they give the reader exactly what they promise – in a most compassionate, humorous, and loving way. Follow her concept - the results are guaranteed! Grady Harp, February 17

Themed organization that benefits the whole family.
Christina Scalise takes organization a step, or two, further than the typical organizer. In 365 Daily Do Its, it breaks down jobs that may take just a few minutes that you could do in one day. Yes, she will remind you to clean areas you often forget, like wiping down your walls and changing your A/C filter. But how often do you think to organize your photos, jewelry, or sheets? She has you sort your stored stuff from your past, but also has you organize your future. She makes you take the time to think about your finances, relationships, holidays, your bucket list, but also your emotions and where you are headed in life. Each month has a theme, and she incorporates those themes into your “daily do its”. By keeping your organization with the family in mind, you will not forget to plan fun stuff to do with the children, or preparing yourself for the next school year.
