This thing is great for the money, I love it!
This HUD is amazing for the price assuming it holds up, but its not perfect...Pros:- Priced right!- Plug and play- Bright display, but can be hard to read in when the Sun reflects directly off the face of the HUD unit, and the lit digital numbers lack contrast with the unlit portions in broad daylight. The darker it is outside the more readable the HUD becomes. At night its a 10/10, at high noon its a 3/10.- Has a flashing engine light that mimics your car's Check Engine or Service Engine Soon light.- Allows you to clear fault codes and reset the Check Engine light, but you can't read them.- Nice layout, but the speed and RPM could be pushed closer together. Do you really need a hundreds digit, maybe just a 1?- Although the auto-dim feature doesn't quite get dim enough at night, it does NOT pick up its own brightness and keep brightening as if the sun is coming out, until it is blindingly bright at night. Other HUDs sometimes do that, so kudos on getting the light sensor hardware right.- Great reflective film. It's a little too dark for my liking, but it is very sharp and the double reflection is well controlled. I only see the end of my hood through it, anyway. Apply window tint installer spray first (any auto parts store or Amazon) to slide it around and squish out the bubbles, or, be sure to press down ONLY the middle first and then work bubbles out from the center toward the edges. A 100% bubble-free screen is absolutely critical to a good final result.Cons:- A little bright at night, even on dimmest setting, but not unusable. Plus it doesn't dim fast enough through dawn and dusk, I put 5 layers of that "invisible" milky kind of scotch tape over the light sensor and now it dims at the right rate through twilight.- It has fewer HUD colors than the product photos. All of the numbers are white, which has a slight lavender color, as shown in the product photos. I don't mind the slightly purplish numbers, they go with the blue RPM band. But don't expect different colored numbers.- It reads 2 mph too fast at highway speed, but is exact at 45 mph and lower. Its is not an ODB2 reporting problem because my ODB2 reader's speed matches the speedometer which matches the GPS speed. There is no speed calibration setting like most HUDs.- The small alarm icon (looks like the volume icon on your computer task bar) just above the MPH is always on and has no settings to turn it off or use it. Taped-over.- The included screen is absolute minimum size. Because of the rake angle of the windshield, it fits the display exactly if you stick the screen on the windshield in PORTRAIT orientation, not in landscape orientation like the hardware unit below it.- The reflective display moves around slightly with eyeball height and angle, so multiple drivers may want a larger screen to accommodate sitting height preferences.- The MPG display is wrong at highway cruise and cannot be hidden by menu. Menu setting 99 worked best, but was still 10-20% low compared compared to the car's own calculation. I suppose the HUD could be correct, but I don't think so since it seems to be much more closely tied to your speed than your foot. IOWs, at 50 MPH it shows great mileage even when I floor the pedal. At 75 MPH it shows poor mileage even when I let it roll in idle or coast down hill. Something is very wrong there. I final taped over the MPG display, which allowed me to move the useful parts of the HUD a little higher on the reflective film.- Depending on your dash angle and sitting height, you can see the lit display underneath its reflection, especially at night. I made a blocking bracket out of card stock and covered it in black vinyl. Stuck-on with double sided 3M mounting tape. Works GREAT.- It includes a pretty good sticky mat to keep it in place, but I used 3M tape to hold it down, because positioning is critical once the screen is on the windshield.- The brief instructions don't say much. It was pretty easy to figure out that the brightness dial cycles through full dim, auto adjust, and full bright. Auto is the only usable setting. I was able to toggle off the Temp display on/off by going into setup mode and back again. The instructions explain how to set up hybrid mode, I guess for the MPG calculation.- There is an a little alarm icon on the display, I guess for speed, but there are no instructions on how to set it.- Passing cars hang out around your blind spot to check it out. It is very visible, especially at night, from all angles to passing drivers.Lessons Learned:- Use it without the screen for a while in daylight and at night before you peel and stick the screen. Remember to try the screen in portrait orientation if your car has an angled windshield. The position I liked during the day was a little high at night.- Matt black electrical tape or vinyl over unwanted parts of the display deletes them nicely.

Didn't live to its promises.
I bought this HUD because it was advertised as PHEV compatible. It is certainly not compatible with 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. When the car is in the electric mode the display goes blank. The HUD is far from perfect even when it works. The indicated speed is always a bit higher than the car's speedometer or a GPS. The temperature display may blink a correct number once in a while, but usually shows 60F or so. The voltage shows 15V instead of the 14.5 and the fuel economy numbers are completely detached from the reality. The one small page manual directs to the frontier ehub web site for more information, but this product is not listed among the available products on the site.

Plugged unit into ODBII connector. Display only lights up with 'Hud' and the voltage meter. Vehicle is a 2004 GMC truck. Sent an e-mail to vendor asking if unit is compatible with this vehicle.

Does not shut off automatically.
Device is set to MPH and MPG. Comes with very little documentation. Cannot adjust the options. The worst part is that the device doesn't auto shut off when the car is off.

Great unit- worked great-- but the film was too big and caused a major distraction for my vehicle as my wife drives it and would have to move film for her height.... I contacted seller and they willingly took it back-- great seller! Would buy again from them.
