Q: What is considered to be direct sunlight? My foyer has some light coming through but stairway is in the center of the house. Anyway to know?

I’m not sure what the manufacturer considers direct sunlight but we used it on stair case that received indirect sunlight. No beams or rays of sunlight hit it directly but there is quiet a bit of nature light from windows above.
