I needed some bright flood type lighting for my band when playing live and have compared cheaper led par cans to these. Im so glad I got these and not the par cans. The cheaper par cans dont throw out much light so though I would give these a go. I bought 2 initially then when they came and had the chance to try them out, I immediately bought another pair. Ok, so these are not dmx controlled but for what we need they are perfect. The app is a little bit tricky to use and set up at first but once understood, it has some excellent usuable functions. You can set timers if you are using them outdoors for evening use at dusk etc but I will be using the auto fade/flash function which has set colours plus I have set 3 of my own different scenes using different colours which have different fade speeds rather than flash. I did this because the lights are so bright, they almost have a strobe effect when flashing. Theres also a dimming function which is useful. The app can control up to 16 of these lights using their own mesh communication so they will all sync together. Very neat! No wifi or interconnecting cables are needed because all are stand alone if required. Each lamp has its own address which you can rename as Light 1, 2 , 3 etc Or simply Red,Green,Blue etc. When I next set these up in a band situation, I will take a short video and repost it here to show the effects. Im very pleased, they area lot cheaper than buying loads of led par lights and the bonus is they are waterproof so could be use at outdoor gigs. Great value for money in my eyes. Great product with a lot of clever thinking behind it!!

Bought to replace old light over outside dining terrace. Plenty of options including white light. Easy to install.I probably would not have bought this light had I realised that it came without a remote control - I should have looked more closely at the image. Be patient and you can achieve control on your phone!

Solid lamp with lots of functions. Quite a steep learning curve to learn to use the app.Only just received but so far, so good.

It is worth mentioning that this is my second order from DUSKTEC, the first one was for a set of app control downlights. I was so impressed with them, I had to get my outdoor light done so that they all run off the same app.This floodlight comes with a bag full of features and functions that you would expect from any smart lights, but what really impresses me is how well they are put together and can be used.First of all, unlike the wifi type, the setup is so simple that it was done before I hardly got going, which is a good thing and deserves a praise. If you are concerned with privacy, you have little to be concerned. The same feeling is apparent with the rest of operations to the extend I thought the user manual is rather “unnecessary”.The beauty does not end just there. I had concerns with the light having limited control range, but there was I being prejudice. The so called new Mesh connectivity seems to cast some “mysterious force” connecting each and every lamp, I literally can cast my spell on a distant lamp from miles away as long as I am in range to the closest one.I particularly love how easy it is to operate multiple lamps, the app interface has made it so simple and efficient, which by my definition is what smart lights should be all about, “Convenience.” The ability to create customised scenes and set timers (auto repeat daily) work wonders for any outdoor application.In short, this is much better than infrared controlled lamps in terms of functionality and controllability, at the same time, it beats wifi lamps in terms of simplicity and ease of control. You can’t have it all, but this one is close enough to everything I want with smart lights.

You need a smart phone to download the app to deal with the remote functions - but quite easy to follow [once you understand the app itself]. No white colour but full range of all other colours and easy to use.

Did exactly what it said on the tin. Great brightness level with a vast range of colours and settings. Easy to setup too and add other lights to create a scene. Brilliant!

I already have a set of down lights from Dusktec, but it does continue to impress me on how easy it is to set up and operate this new outdoor light. No registration, no network, no nothing is required!This newly added flood light is installed in my garden for landscape lighting, I can control any of them as long as I am close enough to the nearest one, which in fairness I can stand from quite some distant away. I thought this was only possible with the WiFi type, but so do these as the lights seem to be able to talk to one another.Further, I have customised multiple scenes to include these lights under different settings and activate them with one click, which means I can have all sorts of lighting effects stored without having to temper with the settings each and every time. Not to mention, these lights are in perfect sync with any mode I throw at it.Last but not least, I am loving the timing function the most. Once I have it activated on my lovely customised scene, it comes and goes off at the preset times by itself without me having to ever touch the app again.Previously, the only thing I didn’t like is operating multiple APPs, now I have both my indoor and outdoor lamps under this one app, sweet！

The light case is sturdy and solid. Ready to use both indoor and also outdoor. The setup is so easy and fast. You can control the light without any problem through its app. The light is dimmable and also RGB. And also you can set timer to any day of the week which is super practical. I use its separate warm white leds also and they are so nice in color. The RGB leds give tons of different and bright colors, kids like them so much.
