"Black Beauty" is about more than a horse. It's aboust human kindness as well as human beings' failure to love and care for one another. This is a classic that everyone should read, both children and adults.

I have loved the Black Beauty book since I was in elementary school. I still love it.

Perfect gift for a ten year old girl who loves horses.

This story is a true classic for me. It was my favorite classic when I was a child and after reading it again, it stays in first place. The story is written from the viewpoint of the horse, Black Beauty. The reader travels with Beauty through a lifetime of ups and downs with humanity. He was a loyal and patient horse and I loved that no matter what life threw at him, he maintained those wonderful qualities. This is a book that has a permanent spot on my bookshelves.

I liked the book very much. The character of Black Beauty is amazing. He is cool and gentle. His journeys to different places and his friendship with so many horses and even with humans is inspiring for me.
