I'm not a fan of most shooting glasses, but I've been a fan of Gargoyles for several decades. The toric lenses work with scopes for no distortion. Biggest complaint is that they are prone to scratches, but their ballistic resistance properties are worth the cost.

Great glasses, not polarized if that matters to you. I know most people want that, but it's not always needed, and definitely not something pilots wear.They don't make these anymore so get them while you can.

I read some reviews that have criticized gargoyles and their quality compared to the “original” (1980’s) quality. I bought these a little reluctantly but figured i could send them back if they were not up to par.Any reports of low quality are not in line with what i have found. The arms are metal with a plastic sock for the ears. Thats not poor quality. Try having a metal ear sock. Not comfortable. The attaching points to the lenses are solid, in fact they are molded onto the lens. The arms attach with a metal bracket. Very solid design.The nose piece has a metal screw keeping it attached.I have no idea what the complaints are regarding quality. These are better made than the original “Terminator” style i had decades ago, and indeed i had them in the 80’s.They are NOT polarized, nor were they back then.Honestly these are not my ‘go to’ for out door activity per say, i bough them as a “feel good” retro look and primarily for motorcycle riding. For that are great. Nice fit, great retro gargoyle look and surprisingly good build quality. Im very pleased and, as long as you know what you are getting, i highly recommend them.

Very nice work glasses with good protection

My husband uses these for protection since he has implants to relieve his glaucoma. They are sturdy and crystal-clear. I even managed to remove the protective side pieces (which he doesn't use) without destroying them this time. He wears these glasses all day, every day. This is his second pair. The first pair broke where the hinge attaches to the lens because there is too much pressure there when he wears them. With both sides fully open, they formed a barely-open triangle (much too tight). Looking closely at the broken pair, we realized that the excess length of the temple pieces between the hinge mounting and the lens prevent them from opening more fully. Wearing them like that put excess pressure on the area where the first pair broke. So, we fixed the problem. On the new pair, we removed the temple pieces and carefully filed each one down about 1/16 inch at the end by the hinge mount; then we re-assembled them. They now open further and are more comfortable. We also swapped out the rubber nosepiece with a broader plastic one from older Gargoyles sunglasses I've had for years. It is a little broader and brings the lens closer to the face. PERFECT!

Man, these things are awesome. They're more huge than i expected. But that's fine with me. The mirror effect on the outside of the lenses is very through. If i put them on and then look at myself in a mirror, it reminds me of the cop shades that Cartman wore when he was deputized and began patrolling around town on his bigwheel, busting speeders and breaking up domestic disturbances. If your wife needs to check her makeup, all she has to do is just look at her reflection by glancing at you while you're warning these sunglasses. I chose the blue lense color, and i think they look great. My only complaint is that the cheap plastic arms which go alongside your face and rests above your ears are not really comfortable for me at all. But hopefully i can find some skinny silicone sleeves to slide them into, which would make these very comfortable.A note for those trying to decide between these Gargoyles Classics and the Gargoyles 85s: Unless you have a very large head/face, you'll probably be happier with the 85s. Legend has it that Arnold wore these Classics in his original Terminator movie, and that he has a pretty big head and face. So the legend goes that Gargoyles started making the 85s motel as a product merely 85% of the size of the original Classics (Terminator shades), for people who want that same signature style but in a smaller size.In short, these Classics can look downright enormous on you if you have a small or medium face. Personally, my head and face are in the medium/average realm, so they just look somewhat over-sized on me, but not comically-so. I already knew that 85s fit me perfectly, because i tried on a pair of them a long time ago. And already knowing this, i still chose the big Classics for my recent purchase, because i actually wanted to go for an oversize effect.

Las gafas llegaron bastante bien, solo lo que la caja llegó en mal estado afortunadamente las gafas no tienen ningún daño, pero consideró que el vendedor para la próxima vez que vuelva a comprar, que me avisé el estado de la caja para que no se presté a malas interpretaciones del producto que envía de ahí en fuera estoy satisfecho con mi compra le doy 4 estrellas por lo que ya comenté por lo de la caja que venía maltratada de lo demás todo bien llegó antes de lo esperado
