excellent upgrade for mini laptops or slate computers!
This kingspec drive it'S Just the Perfect match for my Motion le1700 slate PC, the size is right to Fit the hdd bay and the rubber seal that help to keep it Safe on Place... the Zif connector was a little hard to open and being so small (smaller and lighter than a cigarette Pack ) I was worried to destroy it but it is really well construed and with some Patience I was able to insert and lock the flat ribbon cable and Reasamble the whole drive Setup.I'm running Microsoft Windows7 ultimate and I use the basic tools from Windows to back-up the Original HDD and restore it on the SSD. The Bios detected the SSD fine and the restore was fast and with out Problems, windows7 Was able to Detect the drive as SSD fine and enable the TRIM Command on start up, My only complain with Kingspec it's that there isn't documentation or Software for the drive (the website only have tech specs on the drive) But microsoft standard driver works fine so it's not a big deal...Now I turn my PC and in 40 seconds its ready to start working, all the applications start almost as soon as I click on the icons and the shutdown time is Just 7 Seconds, and I'm not using the full Potential of the SSD drive because My Bios don't Support AHCI.

SSD drive
I purchased this drive for use for something else and my only fault I broke a vital part to the drive. I did how ever used it and the drive worked before I cause the baler which is the small black part that keeps the zif cable connected snug to the logice board of a smaller device. I have to say the qaulity of the SSD is great and I will have to wait until I order another one.

Downgrade from a hard drive NOT an upgrade!
I purchased this solid-state drive to replace an aging hard drive in my HP Mini 1000. I bought this because there weren't many options available for 1.8" drives. It was a big mistake. The solid-state drive is actually slower than the hard drive, which surprised me. Programs took twice as long to install with this replacement and booting it up took longer as well. I recommend sticking with an old stock name brand hard drive over a Chinese brand as you can trust a name brand any day. I expected better quality for $50 but apparently, I was wrong! At least I was able to get my money back!

Perfect drive for Ipod Classic
I bought this drive to upgrade my old iPod Classic.I am very happy because it fits and works perfectly with no modifications or adapters required which is what I wanted. The price is right too. It costs about the same compared to buying and SD card adapter along with SD card.I noticed that it loads music faster compared to the original hard drive. I also like that I have more than double the original space which was only 30GB.Important note: If using in an iPod make sure you have the proper opening tools as disassembly can be difficult because iPod is very delicate. After that it is plug and play, when you plug it into the computer iTunes will detect that the iPod will need to be formatted. Once it restores the software it will work normal.

Brought my Ipod 'Classic" 160GB Back to Life!
I have an Ipod Classic 160GB which had the original HDD die. If you love your Ipod with lots of storage space, then this is a great upgrade or repair. I did this repair over two years ago and the drive is still working great. Although you have less drive capacity, the two big benefits to using this SSD are 1) fast access/seek time and 2) Longer battery life.

Great replacement for a Zune 30GB
I gave my father my old Zune a while back, since I moved onto the Sansa Zip Clip+ years and years ago. He has some trouble seeing, so the larger screen helps him out. However, it is an older device, the battery was dying in 45m, and I wanted to freshen it up a bit. So I figured, while I was replacing the battery, I'd replace the HDD with an SSD - mostly for the reduced weight, power usage and access times, rather than the increased storage size.As others have said, it works great, first time in. What I did was carefully remove the little plastic bezel in the bottom of the Zune, remove two tiny Phillip's heads, gently pried the two halves apart, removed the battery by unclipping the cable, removed the HDD case via four tiny Phillip's heads screws, gently pried *that* up, starting from the end opposite where the battery was, gently pried the HDD from the cage, removed the ZIF cable from the HDD, inserted it into the SSD, put the SSD back in the cage (with shock absorbers attached, they fit the new drive), then reassembled the whole thing. It took about 30m total, moving at a very careful pace. After reassembly, I reconnected the Zune to the computer, had to reinstall the firmware, then resync the Zune to the collection. This was a bit tricky, as the old Microsoft servers are no longer active, but there are guides online (search for ZuneUpdate for more info). For reference, the original HDD is about 47g, the SSD is about 32g, so you are looking at a 30% savings in weight there. If you forgo the shock absorbing pads and the HDD case, you could probably save another 10g, Probably not worth it though. It is a bit pricey, and there is a 64GB version for ~$30 less, but from what I understand, the KingSpec is one of the only drives that reliably works for the Zune upgrade. Converters, ZIF-SD for example, also don't seem to be reliable.I'll leave an update if my father has any issues, but so far, I am happy.

Prodotto e fornitore seri!
Bravi!

Updated my Zune 30
Great hard drive that I used to upgrade my Zune 30. The drive is the exact same size as the 30GB and with videos from youtube, the install only took moments although downloading the Zune software for the new drive took a bit longer as Microsoft has sunset their website for this however a quick Google showed me instruction on how to do that too. I am very satisfied with the drive and now I have a very large Zune capacity.
