A cut above the rest
Made In knives are truly a cut above the rest. The olive wood handles are not only stunning but also elevate the knives to a whole new level of elegance. Having previously used Wüsthof knives, I can confidently say that Made In knives are the sharpest out of the box that I've ever owned. They effortlessly slice through meat, fruits, veggies, and cheese like butter, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. These knives are clearly meticulously crafted, not just churned out in a factory, making them a standout choice for anyone who values quality and precision in their kitchen tools.

Makes me feel like a fancy chef
I always saw chefs on Top Chef and Chef's Table using this style of knife but I wasn't really sure what all the fuss was about. But if they were using them, there must be something special about them right? Turns out there is! This knife is an absolute beast in the kitchen. Makes chopping veggies a breeze. My mis en place just got so much easier. Since this blade is on the flat end of the spectrum, it chops so well without having to rock it back and forth like you do with a curved blade. This allows for greater speed and efficiency and accuracy. The weight of the knife is perfect and you don't have to use any force to slice through your veggies with ease. Just use gravity and it's like a hot knife through butter. If you really want to geek out about this knife (and the others that Made In makes) you should check out their website and see how these are made. They're what's called full-tang, so the entire knife, handle and all, is one piece of metal. In other words, this is a knife you'll be passing down to your grandkids one day, so long as you take care of it and keep it sharp and dry and take care of the handle to prevent it drying out and splitting.Holding this knife you immediately feel the quality. It's like the Cadillac of chef's knives. I used to dread doing my prep before cooking, but now it's my favorite part.

Good but doesn't hold an edge very long
Daily home cook. I have the Wasabi Nakiri knife. It's 1/3 the price but it holds an edge longer. The At Home knife is beautiful; the weight is great; feels great, however needing to sharpen it once a week is a drag. The full tang is nice, but it's not really a big deal. The Wasabi one is thinner, lighter, flimsier, but I use it instead b/c it stays sharp longer.

Every kitchen needs one.
I recently got this Nakiri and I must say, it has exceeded all of my expectations. The full tang construction of the knife gives it a weighty and sturdy feel in the hand, making it perfect for slicing through vegetables with ease. The blade is unbelievably sharp and cuts through even the toughest of produce like butter. I was initially a bit hesitant to invest in a high-quality knife, but I can confidently say that it was worth every penny. The Nakiri has made meal prep a breeze and has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch vegetable knife.

Most used knife
I bought this as an ancillary knife for specific purposes, but it’s now the knife I grab every time for everything. Stays sharp! Still slicing tomatoes with it!!

Doesn’t stay sharp ☹️
This knife looks beautiful. It is ergonomic and feels good in hand. Also nice weight/balance. BUT it does NOT stay sharp. I was optimistic but I am disappointed, unfortunately. I have an entire set of knives (made by another brand) that cost about the same price as this single knife and they are all consistently sharp/hardly ever need to be honed or sharpened… and they have been used much more frequently.

Coming from a line cook with years of experience
This is a great knife to have in your home kitchen. It slices different from a Chef knife, you do more of a downward chop with this. I love it for chopping meat, carrots, potatoes, lettuce…
