Bought one of these for teenagers when they were little and they held up for years. Had a new one and got the giraffe and it’s the same great quality. The batteries don’t last as long as I would expect but it’s still great. The ceiling lights up great colors and it turns off after about 30 minutes so perfect for bedtime. I love it and will buy again!

As a parent born in the 90s with an old school pillow pet, I just had to get this for my son when looking at light up pillows for him. Unfortunately, my excitement over the fact that it was a pillow pet that lights up, I didn’t read that it is not supposed to go in a crib/bed but I guess it makes sense because of the hard shell on the top where the lights come through. The reason I got it was to replace a light up pillow that no longer worked. It’s also very light in my sons room during the summer so it doesn’t get dark in his room until after he’s already asleep so you wouldn’t be able to see the lights until then. I’m waiting to use it when it gets dark earlier so he can actually see it. It’s soft and a nice size for kids. I decided to keep it because although he can’t use it now, I think it’ll be a cute little pillow/night light as he gets older.

Every parents nightmare, 2nd born wants the same giraffe as the older sibling. Parents buy same giraffe. God forbid the lights are different patterns. 2nd born goes into a fit of rage . Aside from that 3 stars for a couple things. The lights are 10 times brighter than the old style, they literally light up the entire room and the stars are washed out. And, instead of 4 colors there's a hodgepodge of neon lights that aren't nice to the eyes when you're trying to get them to sleep.
