AMAZING!!!!! CAN USE WITH RIMMED TANK!!!!
This fan works! My tank was around 72 degrees at room temp. Once I got this fan, my tank has been 65-68 degrees. I use this for my axolotl. He has a top fin rimmed aquarium from Petsmart. I chose this fan because of the suction cup, this allows me to use it with a rimmed tank. The part of the fan that sticks out to go over the rim just sits on the rim of the tank. It does have screws for security but with the rim, the fan doesn’t go down far enough on the tank wall for me to use the screws. If you had a rimless tank that part would fit over the tank wall, but you can still use this fan with a rimmed tank. The fan feels sturdy but you could always ziptie another suction cup to the fan for more security. Anyway, I am really happy with this fan. It was perfect for everything I needed it for. It is also so quiet I don’t even know when it’s on. I never leave reviews but it has been so difficult to find a fan for my axolotl, I wanted to write this so people wouldn’t have the headache I’ve had ordering fans and then having to send them back.

This works!
I live in Florida and have a glass enclosed sunroom with fans and shades but no ac. I have a planted aquarium with Nerites. The water was 85 degrees during the hottest part of the day, which didn't seem to bother the snail one bit but it made me nervous. I have a 20 gallon long rimmed aquarium. The fan doesn't fit over the entire rim but it does fit over the top part and it has a big suction cup. It's not going anywhere. Depending on the time of day it actually now keeps the temp between 78-80. It works great and its keeping the tank at the perfect temperature. Bought a second one as a backup.

Only for smaller tanks
The part that catches the side of the tank is to small for larger tanks. Wouldn’t fit my 55 gal and fell into the water

2 degrees down
Perfect for altering a axlotol a couple of degrees not amazing for much more

Quiet and works well
It won't fit on the side of my fish tank, so I don't know how well the suction cup works. I put this fan on the lid of my tank, pointed at the filter, and it keeps the water at a good temperature for my axolotl. It's not summer yet so I can't say if it works when the weather is 90°+. It hasn't started making a rattling noise like the different fan I had previously, which is the reason I got this one.

Not for Rimmed Tanks
The fan works great but the cable is to short for anyone to put on the top of their display and have an outlet option. The bracket on the fan does not work at all for a rimmed tank and also doesn't fit my sump. I did a sort of wacky tie down/prop up job to try to make it stay on my sump. We will see if it stays. Don't buy if you have rimmed tank. I'm sure it would work fine for rimless. Also it does not put out very much air flow but I have not had it on long enough to see if it will make any difference for my tank temp.

Great for bringing down the Temp quickly
Holy cow, I didn’t expect it to work that well, I actually had to put it on a timer because it brought the water in my 65 Gallon aquarium down from 78 to 68 within a few hours.

Bought the temperature down to a degree
Its super quite, I honesty would forget I have it on, the only down side is that it only really ever brought the water temperature down by about two degrees
