Very handy, versatile tool; first one lasted 45 years
I've had a Chapman mini ratchet for 45 years as part of a complete kit. I still have all the bits, all in excellent condition. The old ratchet no longer works correctly if more than just a small amount of torque applied; probably due to my using it for bigger jobs that it's design is intended for. The ratchet allows you to get into tight spots with ease, is very rugged and will last many years if not abused. It may seem pricey, but the build quality and toughness has made it one of the biggest bargain purchases I've ever made.

Works great for Chapman bits
Most of the bad reviews seem to be from those who failed to read the all-caps, "THIS IS NOT A UNIVERSAL HANDLE - WORKS WITH CHAPMAN BITS". Chapman bits are NOT the 32 for 10 bucks 1/4" hex shank bit sets floating around; they have a ball detent and a knurled knob on the back which is what this handle is for. Holds the intended bits securely (does not work with generic 1/4" hex shank bits). As there may still be some in the back who haven't had it click like the detent ball that holds Chapman bits in place in this handle yet, this is not a universal bit holder. Snark aside..My only complaint is the price through here and I strongly recommend looking into buying direct from the manufacturer. If you're looking to build out a set of specific bits to suit your needs, you'll end up there anyway and finding out you "overpaid" for some parts is a bummer.

Rachet
Tool is made excellent, perfect palm length but nothing secures your bit in place . Bit keeps falling off or slides out with no pressure. But rest is perfect.

only thing that worked !!
I have an optic ready pistol. I could not get the optic plate off to mount my red dot. It felt like I was going to strip it. So I stopped and ordered this. It arrived and boom the nut came right off. Took seconds. Best tool ever

Great for tight spaces
Needed to change a blend door actuator without having to take the dash apart, ratchet is the right size for me and I don't have to cut my bits to get it to fit in the tight space to start screw removal

Faulty ratchet, I want Chapman to send replacement.
The media could not be loaded. My ratchet came with next to no ball detention grooves inside the head of the wrench causing it to drop bits by simply turning it over. The one ground out “detention groove” is a lazy ground out channel that lets the ball slip straight out. It’s like someone was asleep while making this and accidentally let the grinder just dig through it and then they forgot to do the other sides. It’s lazy work and I’m not buying the master set if they don’t fix this issue for me, because it’s a good reflection on how lazy they are. I’ll update this review if I get a solution, if you are reading this and you don’t see an update beware of a company that doesn’t fix their problems or care about customers.
