Purchased this for our Granddaughter and liked it so much we bought another for our own library.Beautifully illustrated right the way through, and both the story and images are true to the original. It's so nice to be able to buy a real book that children of any age can enjoy, now and for generations to come.

A delightful hardback book purchased as part of my personal collection of Winnie the Pooh books and other Pooh Bear items. "Once There Was A Bear"; a beautifully illustrated book by Mark Burgess in the style of the original artist, E.H. Shepard and the text cleverly written by Jane Riordan in the style of A.A. Milne. The prequel of the original Winnie the Pooh stories, this charming text is ideal for all age groups, even "old children" like me who has been reading about Pooh Bear for over sixty years.

Gorgeous
This is a really beautiful book. Its hardback, has thick matt pages with clear text. Beautiful colour illustrations fill almost every single page. It really is quite special.It has a gold coloured ribbon bookmark which i love, and is generally missing from books these days which i find a shame, and this was a welcome surprise.A truly beautiful book that will last a lifetime if you take care of it. Mine has gone on my top shelf where i keep my 1st editions.

Excellent value for money, a brand new First Edition hardback for £12.65pence, RRP £14.99 when the exact book is being sold on EBay by an unscrupulous seller for £25.00, the seller highlighting/marketing the fact that it is a First Edition - 001.
