MOV vinyl review
Super clean sounding and nice looking 180 gram pressing. It’s mixed perfectly imo. Really glad I picked up this 25th anniversary marbled vinyl.

Best Overall Social Distortion album - period.
While Social Distortion's street cred has always been solid, my main problem with them has been the fact that they will put out albums with two top-notch songs inserted amongst eight other average (at best) tracks. This is the first album of SD's that actually has great songs from beginning to end. The only low point is "When the Angels Sing" (track 7), which must be skipped over when listening to the album. Otherwise, you've got a powerhouse experience, from the opening "Dear Lover" all the way through to SD's cover of the Stone's "Under My Thumb".The production on this effort is much better than the usual SD level. Also, the addition of one of music's best drummers, Chuck Biscuits, is a MAJOR plus to the overall sound of the band. SD has always had some marginal drummers that basically served to keep time to Ness and company's guitars and tortured soul outsider laments. Biscuits makes each snare hit you in the chest and each fill count.Pick up this album and their live disc (Live at the Roxy) and all your bases are covered when it comes to Social Distortion.

White trash all the way, wouldn't want it any other way.
Great album with a lot to hear. Some of the best SD is on here. I was so excited when this came out and it didn't disappoint. I actually wore the damn thing out and had to buy another! I've seen SD easily more than a dozen times, recently they are on the self titled tour and saw them at The Ryman in Nashville, they are still killing it 20 years after this album. Mike, Johnny and the guys never lets you down. Put it on track 2 and turn it way up, it'll get your blood pumping for sure. Immortal sound. You can take the boy out of the white trash, but you can't take the white trash out of the boy!

Real metal
This is a great album from a great band. I love Social Distortion's oldest, and newest stuff. Mike Ness is truly the man, and he has always had an incredible band to back him. This is a very unique album. It is Social Distortion's "hardest" album by far.I can only describe the drums as "punishing." They are so hard, so fast, and so unrelenting, that this to me sounds like what "metal" ought to sound like.Almost every song is a winner. These are not slow, crooning love ballads. They are riveting songs about the hard knocks of life, and they punch away at you like a prizefighter.I'm glad Social D. developed their sound over time, even to the point of adding a fuller, richer sound, with an organ player. But I'm also glad they put out this classic 80's style hardcore album which just pounds away with the sound.

The Best Record Ever Made
I've been listening to rock and roll and other popular music since 1963. My tastes run from Hank Williams to Chevelle, from Donovan to Type O Negative, from Dinah Washington to Catherine Wheel. I rarely use words like "the best" because "the best" tends to vary over time and with moods - there is just so much good music out there. This recording, however, over the 10 years since its release, has proven itself over time. Ness and Co. set out with a mission: to make a great "punk rock" album. I don't think they did that at all, this isn't even "punk rock" to my ears. What they made is simply The Greatest Record of All Time. It is flawless in its writing, its performance, and its production. I will be forever grateful to them for making it.

North Orange County Every Day
This is the Social D that does not get a lot of radio play. However, if you have lived in North Orange County every day for years, as I have, till seven years ago, this is the tough Social Distortion. No glam, All guitars, vocals and rythem section. Obviously, "I Was Wrong" was the one big hit off this record. However, listen to "Down Here With the Rest Of Us" to fully understand Mike Ness's macho fatigue. You can here it in his voice. Originally released like 16 years ago, this record is my FAVORITE Social distortion album, and I have all of 'em.

What a bonafide classic. I bought this album a few weeks after release, but lost it over the ensuing years. Decided to buy it back again for the collection as stuff like this shouldn't be relegated to what amounts to being a worthless and disposable collection of 1s and 0s.You can't put your hands around a download.
