We love this cage, we have two of them. They are very large with plenty of space to run around and add a house also. The water bottle is cheap junk. You would need to get a glass one.

Update on my previous review ! After a month of my syrian hamster in this cage he escaped from it he was running around my kitchen it was so frighting I found out how he got out off the cage there was another review of a hamster escaping out the same place on the cage ! It is at the top of the cage where there is a top door to access your pet where the latch is there are 2 bars spaced about an inch an a half apart hop the manufacture fix's this very dangerous flaw!

I got it for a hedgehog, and it's a decent size for a juvenile, but I think I'm going to need to upsize a bit as he's grown. It has enough space for the hedgie's wheel and igloo and food and water dishes, and still leaves him some room to walk around.Overall, it's an OK cage, my only real complaint is that it's a little flimsy. I would prefer it if it were made of heavier gauge wire with a more substantial door closure on the front. I mostly use the front door rather than the top because the top door is the o ly place to mount a heat lamp due to the solid roof. Also, the door on top doesn't line up quite right because the lid flexes under its own weight when the door opens, so it can be tricky to get that closed.

My guinea pig loved this the second I put him in it. I will be getting a second one which is why I went with this Xl sizeGreat cage for the price.

Not for hamsters!! We likex how big this cage was as our teddy bear hamster is very active. However we can't keep him in. He keeps squeezing through the bars.... And just not the top bars... Those measure about an inch. He is getting through the 3/4" side too. I am going to try to modify the cage cause it was so expensive and we can't find anything this big. We have put the cage in the tub to catch him when he escapes, until I can figure something out. It's also not most sturdy cage.

This cage is roomy, somewhat easy to set up, and has the necessary accessories to ensure your small pets have a nice habitat. That said, this cage is a bit flimsy, and setting it up was a pain because some of the metal parts had to be bent. We had to get tools to accomplish the setup and some wires snapped apart which doesn't bode well for the cage's longevity. I wish the wires were sturdier and better welded together.It is cute, my daughter likes the color, and the setup, and the guinea pigs seem quite happy. Not sure if they'll use the ramp, hopefully they'll discover it soon.The included water bottle drips too much and we'll have to replace it eventually, and that was also a bit of a struggle to set up. Although some dripping is normal, I think.The cage has a top and front access door that makes for ease of cleaning and care of the pets.

A dwarf hamster needs at least 450 sq inches of floor space, this is not enough. NOT suitable for a bigger animal like guinea pig(s) or rabbit(s). You must do your research before u get an animal. It is very annoying when people use an animals lifespan or size to determine what they need. Hamsters and most other rodents are nocturnal, they are active at night. They get desperate and stressed when put in a small cage. Don’t buy.
