I have installed 4 of these on my guitars and have been very pleased with the installation process and the sound when played through an amp. When you install the piezo, if you have to file the saddle to compensate for it's height, sand the saddle completely smooth and flat. Otherwise, the pickup won't even pick up the string vibration and you will lose tone from some of the strings.

So I bought this for an older guitar that does not offer a replacement pickup. I was very impressed with how simple it was to install. Luckily the old preamp was almost the same size so I didn’t have to cut out or add any material To the guitar. In about 30 minutes I was done with the complete install. The sound is even better than the original that was installed in my Ibanez. Overall for the price you cannot go wrong. The tuner matches exactly what my portable neck tuner has and is accurate. I will update after I perform with it live but so far I am extremely satisfied with the results. I will try and add some pictures when I have a chance.

Item didn't function when first installed. I had to remove it, tried again and it did. The sound is a bit harsh but can be tamed with effects. OK for the price.

I bought this to use as a pre-amp for a traveling guitar. I wasn't looking for the best quality, but the low frequency hum was still a little unexpected. I can work with it for a traveler, but I don't think I would buy this for a front line guitar.
