It was worth the "weight"!
Okay, so my first try at a three-pass safety razor shave. Thanks to everyone for your reviews. This razor was more affordable than anything I could pick up at the store and the weight was perfect! I love the simplicity. I feel like I'm transported back to 1901 when the everyman was opening their safety razor for the first time and thinking, No more sharpening, no more going to the barber for this. It's a powerful experience. If you've never used a safety razor before, buy this one. The weight really helps you feel like you don't have to press the razor to hard. I shaved my face and my head with this thing (3-4day stubble), and it worked beautifully. WARNING:Don't shave your head with a safety razor unless you have a lot of experience shaving your own head and know all the directionsof your hair growth. Heads bleed...a lot! but that said, no cuts on this cue ball. Overall Great Product! Buy it!

Great razor - glad I bought it and would recommend it
I love this razor! I started using it on a regular basis about a month ago. It leaves a clean shave, washes out easily and has a good angle on the blade. The blade lasted the month so far.Had a previous safety razor but didn't really like shaving with it an got nicked by it. So went back to using a Mach III and later a Fusion.Someone recommend this one to me. I was a bit skeptical at first because I used a safety razor before and that the angle wasn't adjustable on the blade but it worked out well with the fixed angle. They have it dialed in.For the price, it beats buying Fusion cartridges every couple of months for $20. Simple and inexpensive safety razors work well.The case is cardboard but so far holding up pretty well. It could use a little stand or holder to prop it up off the counter but I guess they sell stands for them too.Overall, super great buy. Glad I bought it. Would definitely recommend it.

Well worth it.
I wear a beard and only shave my neck and upper cheek. It took a couple tries to get used to the angle and pressure that are appropriate to a safety razor but it has definitely been worth the learning curve.There is zero difficulty in rinsing whiskers out of the razor head (unlike many disposable multi-blade razors) and the dual sides add significantly to the ease of use. This razor is very simple to disassemble and reassemble with a fresh blade. It looks attractive and based on my own experience I have already recommended it to my wife.

A great designed razor
I've been using a double edge razor for years, but, without a doubt, this is the best designed and finest made one that I have ever used. It gives such a smooth shave, I had to check to see if it removed any whiskers. I felt no tugs or pulls, no nicks, just an all around great razor.

Not the traditional opening head. You have to take the handle completely off to replace the blade.

Nice razor, balanced nicely. Except, I didn't get a close shave with the blades? Are there sharper or better ones?
