A bit small with wide-ish footbed and moderate support
I need a summer shoe that provides great arch/foot support, and that fits my feet. I recently rubbed the top of my foot raw with a new pair of closed shoes, so was looking for something that didn't rub that part of my foot. I have wide high volume feet: size 10 E or EE in Women's (usually a 9 EE or EEEE in Men's), a high arch, a high instep, and short chunky toes. I have recurring plantar fasciitis as well as pain on the side of my foot that both are much improved when I have enough support; with my high arch, it is hard to find supportive sandals (no orthotic can fit). Because there are almost no wide sandals or flip flops that also have support, my choices were limited and I had to try several average width shoes. But, we all have differently shaped feet, so what works for one in a shoe, will not work at all for another. I spent hours reading reviews, bought 4 pairs, and none worked. This time, I bought 7 pairs: Oofas, Birkenstock EFAs, Chacos, New Balance, Vionic, and 2 pair of Footminders. I bought the Footminders in both a 9/10 and a 10/11 because of comments and most unisex shoe sizes have Men's being 1.5 to 2 sizes smaller than Women's. I didn't think I would get enough width out of a 10 women's, but I do usually get a 9 Men's - so I tried both. These were the last to try and worked the least well for my feet.Initial fit - the 9/10 shoe barely fit and I immediately went to the 10/11. The thong was a bit snug between my toes and the straps a bit loose.Width - For a shoe that is not sold as a wide, the footbed is on the wider side. Not super wide, but wide enough for my feet, though I did size up a full size compared to my normal Women's size. Also good, the thong placement side to side was accurate for my chunky big toe. Often the placement is such that the inside of my foot hangs off the foot bed. In this shoes, my whole foot fit!Length - the thong is placed relatively far back for my toes and it likely made worse because I needed the 10/11 both for width, but my toes are quite a distance from the edge of the shoe. For me, that is a guaranteed trip hazard! When I set my foot on top of the 9/10, the length is fine. So, for someone with normal width or even slightly wide feet - a C/D women's or an E men's, go ahead and get your regular size. Only size up if you have wide feet. Do not try them if you have very wide feet.Comfort and support - these, the Chacos and the Vionics all have a very similar sole. It is a bit heavier than some materials, a bit dense but no uncomfortable. The support is relatively good, but not as good as the New Balance or Oofas - those were the best.Wear - no idea.Overall - these are a great buy. The thong is a bit less comfortable than some of the others, but I would get used to it in time. If you like a cushy feel, try the Oofas. If you already like Chacos or Vionics, these are a very good substitute. Definitely size up if you have wide feet, but do not if you have regular or slightly wide feet. See photos for more info. The one with my heel hanging over quite a bit is the Men's 9/Women's 10.

but so far so good. They are very thick and offer a lot ...
Just got them, but so far so good. They are very thick and offer a lot of firm cushion from shock to your heel. They have a strong arch support and side stabilization built into the footbed. Flip flops are my go to around the house foot wear and I basically always wear something on my feet, so they will get tons of use. They have decent treads and seem well made enough... so far. I haven't put them through months of abuse yet. I will update if they fall apart or somehow start failing to be comfortable.Otherwise these are great reasonably prices flip flops with orthopedic support. Beyond just being cooler than slipper and good for people who like flip flops in general. They are EASY TO CLEAN.For someone like me who is looking for footwear with good arch and heel support to deal with heel and Plantar fasciitis these are ideal because they are cheap and I can clean them easily, unlike slippers. I also find flip flops tend to hold up pretty well due to their simple design and lack of fabric.I have the Vionic $120 flip flips and I THINK these are better and far more fairly priced. Vionic is kind of exploiting foot pain sufferers with some of their price imo as are many orthopedic footwear and insert manufacturers. I also have the Spenco Yumi and those are significantly inferior to those. They are too thin and don't have the heel support. The Vionics are also thinner and have a little piece of squishy material for you heel, which is a nice idea, but since it's a separate piece of material from the footbed it's destined to fail. The thicker all in one footbed is a better design.I also believe these flip flops have more arch support than Vionic, which for me, makes them that much more comfortable, but I believe the main tadvantage is they are just thicker and absorb more impact than most any other orthopedic footbed I have found. Vionic slippers also have tough footbeds, buy they are a pain to clean and much easier to fall off your foot or trip you on the stairs.SOooo, these are about the best flip flops I've ever found. I will probably buy a few more pair if they hold up for a couple months.I think this is a good GO TO piece of footwear for most people with Plantar fasciitis as well. You MUST wear foot protection at all times to absorb the impact of hard surfaces and allow your foot to heal or you will have chronic pain. You need footwear or padding EVEN in the shower. I use my old flip flops for that, but a soft bath pad will work.Anti fatigue mats in front of places you stand a lot is also smart. Places like the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, stove, washing machine can all benefit from a soft rug or mat of some kind. You want to be aggressive about padding your feet from impact because they really can't heal otherwise.Since I'm writing a book anyway. DON'T IGNORE THE STRETCHING! Padding at ALL times is important, but stretching will definitely help. The lunges are probably the best universally easy stretch you can do.

Great Flip Flops, buy them!
I bought these for a 12 day trip to Isreal with lots of walking, 10-20K steps/day. I had neuroma pain in both feet before we left but I practically lived in these pain free. They have a surprising amount of support and yet are cushy on the foot. The little bumps kind of massage your feet. I only wore runners two days when the terrain was very steep and rocky. These are going to be great for the summer. I wear a size 7 and they fit perfectly. My husband has a pair and loves his too.

Flip flops with great arch support for flat feet or plantar fasciitis
Solid flip flop with great arch support. If you have really wide feet like me it might be too narrow. Borderline too narrow for me. But for the price and convenience it's worth it.

Copy cat of the Vionic sandals and half the price - good deal
I really need and enjoy the arch in the sandal and the durability of the material used to make the sandals comfy but yet durable.

Very hard sole.
I bought these to help with plantar fasciitis and found them too hard to help. If you have healthy feet they may be fine.I would return them but my cat bit them and left his teeth marks when i wasn't looking.
