Knob fell off after 12 days of use. Replace by PlatinHome. Then the internal plastic "cog" fractured (last photo).
Fell apart after 12 days of use. The knob on the turning arm just came loose. Look at the photos - it was notwell engineered to withstand the stress. I may be without coffee tomorrow...If it remained working I probably would have given it 4 stars for appearance and general usability.Updating my review to the above mentioned 4 stars thanks to a prompt and satisfactory solution provided to me.Second update: Going back to my initial 2 stars after the internal plastic "cog" that drives the ceramic burr broke a couple of weeks later. I sent a couple of emails with photos to PlatinHome and after 8 or 9 days got no response. Overall disappointment in this grinder that was going to accompany me on a 4 month camping trip. No way I can trust it now. Photo of the fractured "cog" added.

Coffee taste so much better!!!
love it use it all day everyday, I don't use pre-grinded anymore. I take my grinder and beans with me wherever I go if I am going to be there for any amount of time. Grinder is perfect size for a pot of coffee at least to my liking and I don't mind the few minutes it takes to grind up a batch. My coffee taste much better freshly ground verses the other and I will never go back. I am looking into buying another one so I can keep it in the car...you never know when the need will arise.

Purchased this just 6 months ago for when we travel ...
Purchased this just 6 months ago for when we travel. Until this morning I would have rated this 5 stars as it did exactly as advertised. However this morning the one internal mechanism that is plastic broke while I was grinding the beans. It just disintegrated into pieces. This wasn't dropped, misused in any way. I suggest for all of your orders to include a replacement part as this will break. Now that we are in the Bahamas how are we to get a replacement?

Pretty solid!
This is very handy on trips and place you stay that don't have coffee grinders. It seems like it's made pretty solid but there is a plastic piece inside the burr that is loose for some reason and it seems somewhat cheap. Overall, it was a good purchase!

Amazing grinder so far
Amazing grinder so far. Easy to turn and never feels like you're forcing to cut the coffee beans. The bottom section slides a bit so make sure you have your pinky finger holding it up and don't apply to much force. Overall very happy with this purchase

Good workout for your arms
A well made product. The grind is rather consistent from time to time. My only whine is that it can take a couple grinds to get the amount of ground coffee needed for a strong cup of joe. Good workout for your arms, I guess.

Broken
As you can see from the picture that although it says it is stainless steel one important part is not and that's why I can't grind my beans. I have tried to email the company but haven't gotten a response in over 2 weeks. All I want is a new replacement piece.
