DKfindout! Ancient Rome

Gift for my seven year old grandson just before his family trip to Rome!!!He loves reading and it introduced many facts about the many places he would tour!

I like it because it teaches my son about Rome

This book I read was titled, "Ancient Rome". I generally liked this book, but I feel this book could've added some more details on certain topics. Such as, how Rome conquered and exact areas where they took over. This opinion may have been swayed due to my Social Studies teacher who does a good job making sure we know everything. However, I would recommend this book to readers who are looking for a light read, but still want to find something out. The reason I say this is because the descriptions are very vague in certain areas. Based on what I read, this book would be good for 2nd grade through 4th, because of the easy language in the book. Anyone could read it, but it would probably be too easy for 5th grade and up. Overall, I would recommend this book.-Book review by one of my 7th grade Language Arts students
