For those doing research, it seems that many people who have written about this backpack in review blogs must be small as they complained of the large version being far too big. After taking in such information and subsequently buying the medium version, I ended up sending it back for the large upgrade because it was comically too small. If you are over six foot tall and have broad shoulders, the medium sized backpack will be like a child's backpack on one's back.Also, the increased size provides so more options, such as again, light several day travel. So, doing research it should be known that people complaining about the size large must be tiny people.

This my 2nd time getting this model. My 1st bag just started showing some unravellings on the zipper sowing after 6 years if intense usage.

For $244 it shouldn't have had to be replaced a month after received for a broken zipper, and now the metal adjustment part has snapped. My son is a Grad Student at Drexel. Not someone to throw his belongings around. Very disappointed. If there was a way to get a refund I would try it because it's not worth the money. Poor quality.
